Dear Gina,

Thanks for the advice. It's been 4 weeks, and I am anxoius to pull these
CZ's out and put my "REAL" Solitaire's in (3/4 carat), but I will do as
told and wait the full 8 weeks, maybe even 10. I had them pierced in the
early 70's, when I rode with the bike club back in Chicago (1%er) and
they closed up eventually, but not until the mid 80's. I just worry
about infection more than anything else, that has caused a delay in
healing in others I know who rushed into changing them out before the
healing was complete. I don't want to go in that direction.

Never thought of using fishing line. Great idea Gina!

Not recommended to do - but for the extreme - some local high-school and
college aged guys are trying this latest fad - its piercing the ears -
then slowly stretching the hole larger and larger. To keep increasing
the size of the hole - making it wider - they use rings with slightly
wider diameter to stretch the ear-lobs - like some african tribes where
either females or males do it to their ear-lobes (seen in Nat Geo
Magazines). This basically stretches out the ear-lobes. The widest
I've sen so far is about 1 to 2 inches.I've seen when they take the ring
out - its a ear with a long limp line of skin below it.

Just take care of them, pierced is much better and fun compared to clip
ons.

Yeah, and without something in it it looks shittier than with. I don't
see that as a fashion statement for us girls, unless you have kids and
want to keep them busy by swinging from them. Of course you can always
roll up a napkin and use them as napkin holders. Or handles for your SO
to pull on when you go down... damn Kat, always got joke, 8^#.

I like the idea of napkin holders! :-)

Yeah it looks really bad without the ring. I really don't know the
reason to do that. I guess it's similar to lip piercing with silver or
gold studs.

I bought some beautiful one of a kind clip on earrings at the Fantastic
Indoor Swap Meet. Also some very comfy shoes. Great place. Will go back
next year. Thanks to all the gal that were able to join me there last
Friday.

Hi Gina,

They are almost totally healed. I was tempted to do a double or triple
piercing all at once at first, but decided against it. Now that I have
the initial peircing placement I can just pop a stud thru them myself,
like I had done in the past, and save the extra $80.00 they would
charge.

I can't wait for the total healing process so I can get these CZ's out,
I bought myself a pair of 3/4TCW studs (the real ones) to replace these
on the days when I can't wear dangly ones. like at work.

If earings or rings are worn at work we must put a Piece of tape over
them so as to keep them from getting snagged on anything during the
production process.

Hi Kumi,

What I think is really dumb is when someone has an "expressive" facial
feature, like a large nose, and the they get their nose pierced which
draws everyone attention to the "large nose". It's like, "Hey everyone,
look here"!
