First of all, I havent had a chance to read all the posts till just now.
I was pretty amazed reading all the way back on posts about all the
assumptions many of you made in regards to what happen to me at the
Sahara that morning. NOT ONE person was there or witnessed what happened
at 3am that morning yet posts seem to suggest I cut through a pit
station, brought the incident on myself, presumed I was talking loudly,
using the mirror for silly girl reasons and many other suggestions....I
consider myself a very honest, classy and fairly intelligent tgirl that
would never do a thing to dishonor our girls, DLV, our Porltand group,
myself or my wife. Using common sense and doing the right thing at all
times is extremely important to me. So, with that said, here is exactly
what happen that night.
I (blondie...lol) was playing 21. It was the 6th day we were at the
Sahara with no incidents at all. I simply got up to use the restroom. I
went alone. I did NOT come close to crossing through the tables or pit
area. I did not talk to anyone or say anything to anyone. I was not
confronted by anyone. When I began to enter the womens restroom, I was
confronted by two security guards. They told me not to enter the womens
bathroom. I asked where they expected me to go. They said "maam" (yeah,
even called me maam)you are not to use the womens bathroom or we will
have to remove me from the property. I said "Im sorry sir...I have been
here all week and asked if they had a unisex restroom"...He said..."no
we dont and if you put one foot in the bathroom, we check you out of the
hotel and remove you from the property"...I again said "im sorry...i
understand" and walked away.
I went back to my 21 table and told the pit boss what happened cause we
were on great terms and asked what he suggested. He knew me from
previous nights and said "Come with me Cassandra..." and walked me
around a corner and said to use the one in the back. He told me not to
worry about that he would handle any future situation that night while
he was there.
Thats what happened period...I wasnt loud, I didnt bring it on myself, I
didnt cross through any tables, I wasnt dancing in front of a mirror or
looking at myself, and I certainly wasnt socializing with anyone. Heck,
I never even made it into the bathroom. Story over. Those are the facts
and not what most of the posts suggested. I didnt do a thing wrong in
terms of my actions.
At the Friday night dinner, I brought it to Annies attention and she
informed me I should have used my room since I was staying at the hotel
for the sake of less of a chance somethng like that happening. I told
Annie I would make sure next year, I would do that. So, if I made a
mistake at all, it was maybe not reading into the DLV rules of using
your room bathroom instead of public restrooms to avoid conflict during
the DLV if you are staying at that particular hotel.
I hope this clears things up
Thanks
Cass
