>> Where was the Holiday Casino/Showboat Casino located?
Another piece of Showboat/Castaways trivia, It's location made it an easy
to spot from the air landmark and the eastern approach corridor to the north
las vegas airport is marked on the sectional charts as the Showboat or
Castaways approach. This is the easiest way for a small airplane to get to
the North Las Vegas airport between MCarran International and Nellis AFB.
The route started over lake Meade and you flew right over the Showboat
and then straight at the Stratusphere tower, about half a mile from the Strat
you would make about a 40 degree right turn and you'd be on final for NLV.
Gina, Densie and I know this one. or we should if we read the charts. LOL
Tony, Densie's better half.
a.k.a the token striaght guy.
BTW Densie is now an 18 wheeler pilot too.
