Although I didn't know him personally, I did meet him several times over the years. The last time was 2yrs ago @ Crews'n, when they had an open mic..Susan and I were due to perform and they had Kenny do his numbers first. He is a hard act to follow.
Rest in peace, Kenny.....you will be missed.

During the EHM tour, at the Frank Marino exhibit,I asked the lady giving us the tour (sorry, forgot her name) if Kenny Kerr was still around, as I had seen Boylesque in the early '80s at the Silver Slipper. (That show had a lot of ads on TV at the time.) She said that she thought Kenny was performing downtown.

I met him several times, always right after the show. Even when Kenny and the show were big time, Kenny would always be right outside the showroom greeting the fans as they left.

I first saw Kenny and the show during a temporary gig at the Stardust in the early 1990s. Kenny's long-standing showroom at the Silver Slipper was demolished to make the Desert Inn underpass and the Stardust was remodeling their main showroom transitioning from the closed Lido de Paris into Enter The Night. Kenny needed a showroom and the Stardust needed a temporary show, so they made a makeshift showroom in the convention area for Kenny and the gang.

The first time DLV did Kenny Kerr was for DLV 1998 at the Debbie Reynolds. We greased the penguins and got two prime front-and-center booths. Kenny did the "we'll make you like us" routine and then looked at one of our booths and made a smartass remark that some of us already were like them. :)

We then saw Kenny for DLV 1999 at the main showroom at the Plaza downtown. This was the most elaborate Kenny Kerr show I remember seeing.

Last time we saw Kenny was back at the Frontier in 2001. It wasn't really a FI show, but had some FI content. That show soon closed, and was, as far as I know, Kenny's last headlining gig in LV.

As of 2001, Kenny Kerr was regarded as the longest continuously-appearing headliner in Las Vegas.
