Activity Highlight - DLV Scavenger Hunt

This is the 2nd annual Diva scavenger hunt. This is a team event with groups of 3+. Given a set of clues, each team has to travel around downtown Las Vegas gathering photos and trickets. Prizes will be given based on the best photographs and most clues solved. This is also a great opportunity to take more fabulous photos in situations you would otherwise never think of. Last year the race had us crashing Charlie's Bingo night, hanging around the Power Exchange, and mingling with tourists at the Las Vegas sign. This year is going to be focused around downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street.

The race officially starts at 8:30pm on Tuesday, April 16th. We are meeting at the Mob Bar (240 N 3rd St
Las Vegas, NV 89101) to form teams. Some of us will be there beforehand for drinks and food. The race ends at midnight at Drink & Drag (450 Fremont St, Ste 250, Las Vegas, NV 89101) where we will meet back up to share stories and photos.

We try to orgnaize teams so that groups have cars/transportation. Bring a camera and sensible shoes suitable for walking. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The co-organizers will be JoAnn and Marisa Lily.

I think about 80% of the clues will be on or adjacent to Freemont street, but others may be up to 5-6 blocks away. It may be theoretically possible to walk but I wouldn't recommend it. In some cases I think driving would be fasterand safer so we will try to have at least 1 driver per group.

Is this going to be a scavenger hunt finding certain items placed there or like 'go to ___ restaurant and get a togo menu'?

This is a photo scavenger hunt, so mostly taking crazy pictures at the different locations. There may be times that you have to pick up swag but not neccessarily finding hidden items.

Hanging around the Power Exchange (hahaha). I remember someone literally hanging around the Power Exchange. Will you be abl to participate since you will be coordinating? If so, I want to be on your team again.

Thanks to everyone who came scavenging at Freemont street, and special thanks to my assistants JoAnn and Marisa. I was really impressed by all the photos that came back and the final scores were really close. Congrats to our winning tam of Robyn, Vivian, and Heidi! I still don't know how they managed to seduce the Golden Nugget kitchen staff.

My suggestions for next year are to keep it downtown (no driving), shorten it to 2 hours, and make the mob bar an official dinner (it is cheap and tasty). Remember to always do something your mom would never be caught doing! Let me know if you have any other ideas.
