Cosmetics for Under-Eye Bags?

Postby Linda » Sat Mar 16, 2013 2:25 pm

Does anyone know of a cosmetic that can solve the problem of those unsightly bags that develop under the eyes as we age? Searching the Internet, I have found a few products such as "Nuvela 21" that claim to reduce them, but only over several months. I also found "Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit" http://www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com/prod ... index.tmpl which should cover the darkness, but the bags would still be there. I'm wondering if anyone knows a method for handling this problem.

What comes up in the link appears to be a plain undereye concealer, similar to any of several brands that you can get at any drug store. It will cover the dark areas, but won't shrink anything.

Classic home remedies to shrink the bags include cucumbers, oatmeal, and (don't laugh) Preparation-H! (Kids, don't try this at home.)

If you want something a bit higher on the pecking order than a drugstore concealer, Bare Escentuals has a powder "eye brightener" which I'm sure they would give you a demo of without obligation. There's a "Girlfriend Makeover Party" on Monday at the Bare Escentuals in the Fashion Show Mall, or you can stop by anytime. They are always very receptive to our community.

I've always moisturized my face since I was young...Something I was always
told to do religiously and it would pay you back greatly. Moisturize,
Moisturize and Moisturize!

Don't laugh is correct.....I've heard some gals in my profession claim
we all know Preparation H does wonders for reducing the swollen tissue
around your "you know what" but also reduces swollen tissue under the
eyes we call the "bags" especially after a night of hard partying and
heavy drinking. Just don't get it in the eyes. Also dab it - not rub it
since rubbing stretches the skin. You don't want to stretch, you want to
shrink the skin under the eyes.
