Pole Dancing Lessons

Postby Valorie » Sat Jan 12, 2013 5:27 pm

I am considering organizing a pole dancing class for DLV 2013. These classes teach you how spin, strut, and dance as a sexy diva. It is also a great workout.

I've tried this out in Los Angeles and it was a blast. There are several pole dance studios in Las Vegas. They are available for private group lessons so it would be a fairly comfortable environment even for shy girls.

Is anyone else interested? Ideally we would have around 10-20 signups as a mid-day activity. It would cost about $35 per person for a group of 15 or more (also keep an eye out for Groupons). Has anyone tried any of the local studios? This one looks promising:

Thant would be fun. I am having the same expierence with Zumba. My hips
are moving in more different ways and I learn from watching the GG's.
For Christmas, my wife bought me one of those skirts with all the
medallions on it.I was one of two guys in one class and used it there.
Only one person was offended, the others sort of laughed, but I loved
it. I go three to four times a week.

I wish I was coming this year. I would sign up for this in a minute. At
home I take belly dance and ladies I have to tell you that is one
amazing way to learn to move as a cis gendered woman.

These seem to be the 3 top studios in LV:

Planet Hollywood does offer pole dancing classes which it calls Stripper 101
http://stripper101.com/index.html
It is located among the shops on the strip, so it would be convenient though more public

Vegas Stripper University
http://www.vegasstripperuniversity.com/
Near the 15 on Flamingo.

Las Vegas Pole Dance Studio
http://www.poledancinglasvegas.net/
West of the 15 on Flamingo (off the strip)

I don't care too much for the fake certificate or license, I just want to dance. I second Gabi; dancing really helps your feminine movement. Unlike cis-girls though we have an extra advantage with more upper body strength. Belly dancing is next on my list - maybe I could then take advantage of the extra belly fat.

Hi Val and all. I came upon this ad for pole dancing group discounts. Not sure if you have seen it or how it fits in with your plans but thought I would pass it along.

Thanks Bev. When this thread first started and someone put the three listings up I looked at all the web sites listed. I do not know which is the best one, but I like this one because they give 1/2 price to seniors 60 and above. (I know, I am thrifty: oops:) I do not know if the senior discount applies to parties. The price goes down with more participation. The next incentive seems to be at 15. They did have the best prices.

Jill.
