Well, if you want to get *very* technical, the first name to ever hit
the registration list was a non-existent test user named "fnordia" who
was used to shake down the system.
The first name to register with a live body attached to it was me. :)
However, I registered, cancelled, changed things, and re-registered
several times.
The first person other than me to register was a cow-orker whose name
and address we used as a naive user test, and we let that one expire for
non-response to the validation e-mail.
Yes, thanks go out to everybody who helped shake down and test the
system, both those associated with DLV and those not, and even to those
who don't exist in real life. :)
I guess I should clarify that Lori is the first non-organizer to
register. She's not the only one. I have not counted, but I know that
several have come in this afternoon. I'll probably make some kind of a
count in the general mailing this coming Sunday. The early response is
far greater than I had expected.
