Heads up! Call For Comments on DLV 2013 dates ...

My preference is 1, 2 then 3. This is primarily due to the increased probability of hotter weather at the later dates. Any of the dates work for me schedule-wise so it is not a critical factor. It can still get quite warm in mid-April in Vegas. AC was invented for a reason.

I will echo what Melissa said. The heat doesn't scare me but if given the choice, I'll opt for the earlier dates so as to increase the chance for milder temps.

I've seen intense 100+ heat, chill & rain, moderate temps and even some crazy wind at the DLV's I have attended. I guess it's a crap shoot no matter what. Get it...crap shoot

Looking back, DLV was held on the first and second weeks of April. Any reason why those dates are not considered for 2013?

Easter is Sunday, March 31. Passover spans this weekend too. This
makes the first week in April difficult for many due to family
commitments.

The NAB Show 2013 - National Association of Broadcasters runs April 5
to April 11. This is one of the few events in Las Vegas which does
indeed cause room rates to sharply spike.

What we are most interested in at this time are personal comments
regarding the three proposed timeframes, particularly anything
which causes a potential attendee to be totally "locked out" due
to conflicts on any of the three.

Week 3 would be very difficult for me to arrange.

week #2, as Katrinka mentioned (thank you, my friend), is best for me... #3 is in conflict with another event I am actively participating in, but would allow abbreviated participation in DLV 2013... #1 locks me out completely... thank you for your consideration in this decision-process.

Beginning this weekend, our ORG group will be voting on the dates for DLV 2013.

If there are any further comments regarding the proposed dates, please get them in now.

The three sets of dates being considered are:

1. Sunday, April 14 thru Friday, April 19.
2. Sunday, April 21 thru Friday, April 26.
3. Sunday, April 28 thru Friday, May 3.
