Heads up! Call For Comments on DLV 2013 dates ...

A one-month Call For Comments is now open regarding the dates for
Diva Las Vegas 2013.

We (DLV organizers) are currently in the process of selecting the
dates for Diva Las Vegas 2013 and we are asking for your input.

The timeframes we are considering are listed below. The vote
deciding which timeframe will be used will be taken in late
September or early October among the ORG members of voting status,
and the DLV 2013 dates will be announced shortly after the outcome
of the vote is known.

The floor is now open for your comments, positive or negative,
regarding any of the following proposed timeframes for Diva Las
Vegas 2013, listed here in chronological order:

1. Sunday, April 14 thru Friday, April 19.
2. Sunday, April 21 thru Friday, April 26.
3. Sunday, April 28 thru Friday, May 3.

An "asterisk" to the above is that week 2 (April 21-26) overlaps
the Laughlin River Run.

To make your comments, simply reply to this posting.

All comments about the proposed dates will be posted in public on
the DLV Discussion Forum unless you specifically note otherwise.

A few notes on the process ...

1. We're not considering any timeframes other than those listed
above at the present time. Other timeframes will be considered if
and only if none of the listed timeframes are found to be workable.

2. This is not a vote, it's a call for comments, and detailed
specific comments from those planning to participate are what we are
most interested in. We're asking all to please focus comments on the
above proposed timeframes and why you are in favor of any of them,
why you may be opposed to them, why they will or will not fit into
your schedule, your specific reasons for liking or disliking any of
the above, etc.

3. Comments and objections regarding any of the above proposed
timeframes need to be made during the Call For Comments period
and not after the outcome of the vote is known.

The Call For Comments period will remain open through the third
week of September.

The first 2 weeks are better for me. Hope all are well. In a seperate post I wanted to recommend a great show I saw last week while there that I would be willing to host.

The third option: Sunday, April 28 thru Friday, May 3, provides the
greatest flexibility.

Some considerations:

14th of April is usually when Federal Income taxes are due and I suspect
the actual due date in 2013 will be on Monday the 15th.

22nd of April is Earth Day

24th of April is the "Second Passover" in the Jewish Tradition (Work is
permitted)

The week of the 28th just seems to fit better for me.

I am looking forward to it and plan on being there. as for dates at this
point all are good and I would pick in the order you listed

1st - Sunday, April 14 thru Friday, April 19.
2nd - Sunday, April 21 thru Friday, April 26.
3 rd - Sunday, April 28 thru Friday, May 3.

Problem with having it the last week of April it is usually HOTTER THAN
HELL. I still remember the the last Diva and was it hot. As for me the
2nd and 3rd time frames will be very iffy for me. The 1st would work
better for me.
