This is the first of four reports. This report covers the objective
portion of the DLV 2012 Attendee Survey which closed May 31.

92 mostly-complete responses were received, covering about 60% of
the accounted-for attendees. This response rate is typical of what
we see for the DLV surveys. Not everyone answered all questions, so
totals will not always add up to 92. Several additional comment-only
responses were received and these will be included in the second
report.

A few inconsistent answers were removed and have been noted.

Hi all,

Back before I retired and began drawing SSI it was my pleasure to work
at taking political and business surveys over the phone. The co. I
worked for contracted for many of the big casinos here in LV and, I'm
sure, peddled to any other sources interested in such statistical info.

I was amazed at the similarity between our Attendee Survey and the
surveys we took over the phone.

Our skill level was so good in fact that we could keep a respondant on
the phone for an hour or more pumping all kinds of information out of
them: food and drink locations, ratings, spending levels, etc. gambling
budgets, game preferences, locations, modes of travel, miles traveled,
budgetary allowences and on and on.

After a few years I began to see that the numbers and and information
was always somewhat different from previous years and the need to take
continuous ongoing surveys to keep providers up to date on consumer
trends. How interesting, and what a good way to make a buck. After that
I fell down a rabbit hole and now spend my days and retirement chasing
Alice and the Mad Hatter around here in LV searching for the magic
potion of romance and the perfect cocktail. Do you know how many "i" 's
there are in "daiquiri"?? A: up to three but you have to ask the
bartender to add that many.

understands what "delivery of customer service" is all about!!!

I really think the volunteer group did a bang-up job this year! Thanks again to all who busted their buns to make DLV 2012 happen!
