Hi Katherine

Ahh, a restaurant that I can go to - we have a Bubba Gumps. I will
definitely go there and try their shrimp cocktail. Its $13 locally which
about average price for that quality of shrimp. Our local prices may be
higher than other states because of the supply distance in shipping.
See: http://www.bubbagump.com/assets/menus/oahu.pd

I see the dilemma on the drink - there are soo many different zombie
recipes with all kinds of stuff in it, almost every bar has some sort of
variation on ingredients and portions. All I know is that I tried one
years ago, not knowing what was in it, but it tasted good, and it was
red, but also kept me on my butt a bit longer for I started feeling the
affect of the rum as in the floor was starting to move - and I
definitely was zoning out with that zombie effect.

Same thing happens to me if its a good Long Island Ice Tea, or if
Charles is the bartender - as simple as strawberry daiquiri with good
rum.

I'm probably wrong, but from your description of the slush part, I'm
kinda wondering if its more like some sort of margarita or daiquiri
blended drink with the crushed ice because the other drinks are usually
over ice cubes, or shaken and just poured out like a martini. It has
rum for the daiquiri, or might be better with tequila in a margarita.

There are a few flavors that I know that would be red, one is strawberry
(but it could be more pink than red), red grenadine, another is cherry
(this is red), and the third could be pomegranate (also red).

For me, if the bar has the lychee fruit syrup (some keep it as a flavor
for mohitos) and is willing to make me one, and I would be willing to
pay the cost to custom make it in a daiquiri or margarita form. It
comes out white, for the syrup is clear, but I really like that lychee
flavor. Some use the lychee gelato, or some blend a can of lychee fruit
that is already in a sweet syrup.

Another variation would be watermelon, for I like watermelon too when
its in season - even the small thai watermelons are good for this.
This one I do at home. I cut ripe and sweet seedless watermelon into
red one inch cubes and freeze it. I throw away the white/green rind of
the skin. Seedless so I don't have to pluck out the seeds - it still
has the white kind of really soft seeds but I just blend it. The
sweetest part is in the middle. This becomes the flavor and part of the
slush. I throw it in a blender with either rum or tequila, add some ice
and then blend.

Yum... carrot cake from Sam's. Yes, its very good. Back in the 50s and
60s, at weddings, a very popular favor everyone that attended got was a
small box with a 2 inch cube of carrot/spice cake. As a kid, I used to
go around the tables at the end of the reception and used to grab them
if the people sitting at the table left it behind. I still enjoy it
too. Today the table favors are more elaborate. I rarely see carrot
cake anymore!

No, The Shack Attack. They discontinued it many years ago, at least
five, and I figured that someone would have gotten the recipe and given
it out or posted it somewhere by now. Like I said, I knew a waitress
that worked there and even she could not influence the bartender to give
it to her, and she was pretty hot! I have tried to copy it to no avail,
there has to be 1 or 2 ingredients that I am missing and can't figure
out.

Me neither, although I know a TS who did the whole transition, and
supposedly had a uterus put in, and the other day she complained of
having PMS cramps. Don't know the truth of it but I think if I was going
to go all the way in transitioning, which I am not, I would leave that
part out. Isn't that what causes 99% of the 50% divorce rate? LOL

Hi Kumi, It has been awhile since I was at Bubba Gumps and I just
discovered the shrimp cocktail is at $13.00 here also. But for the
amount you get, unless they changed that, it is well worth it.
