Hi Katherine,

Yeah, 3 or more inches stiletto high heeled shoes are bad enough for me
balance and walk in them, and hard on my toes that take the brunt of the
weight. Those 1/2 inch heels are way too small.

I have seen those roller skates with high heels - also on roller blades
too! I would need a helmet, elbow and knee pads and a ton of band-aides
if I wore those.

Not for me. That would be just as bad for me as in walking in ski boots
with all the clips closed in place and not open.

Give me wedge types and I would be happy and so would my toes. Its alot
more stable and comfy. Even platform shoes with the huge heels. I can
then go do that " Keep on trukin' " at " Funky Town " lookin like a
small " Brick house " trying to get " r-e-s-p-e-c-t" .... :-) Bell
bottoms and all. :-)

I'll take the high heels with those almost thigh high boots for better
support of the ankles (minus the skates), and only if I have the
matching nice thighs and hips to go with them.It also requires a mini
skirt/skort to show it all off.... . Sorry, I don't live in CA, but that
burger sure sounds good. I'm stuck on a island ....

Hi Mary Beth, Sarah,

Its harder just finding any kind of shoes in our feet size!

Just use it as a basic guideline as more of what kinds of shoes to start
with that would go with most dressing situations. Don't go with the
brand and price they are recommending in the article unless you really
like the style and brand they are showing, and the price. They are
actually pretty standard shoe types.


Pumps (black and skin colored)

Boots (black, ankle or knee high)

Flats (moccasins, sandals, mary jane, flip flops or slippers)

Sandals (platform, wedge, glitzy)

Sneakers

Booties

The brand and cost is up to each individual, as far as shoe durability,
comfort, style, or even name brand, and one doesn't have to buy them all
at one time,or more as needed, or when affordable for purchase.

Consider how often in a year will one wear it. I've bought economical
vinyl pumps that disintegrated in the box brand new after 1 year, and I
didn't have a chance to wear it outside of the house so it was a waste
of money. My patent leather Rock Port brand shoes bought two for one at
the factory outlet in Las Vegas (old Beltz) have lasted for years in the
box and one pair hasn't been worn yet either, but I check to be sure its
not rotted out.

Like anything else, its up to the individual to decide how good or kind
of quality or brand names. Some are very expensive - yes $7k and more if
one buys all 10 shoes as - but there are also more economical brands
and unknown chinese, korean, singapore, or malaysian made brands with
similar style, ( and they have periodic sales) that are more price
affordable at Target, Payless Shoes, Kmart, orWalmart, or even at the
factory outlets in LV. I've seen these styles at regular shopping center
stores like Sears, Penny's, Macys, Dillards, Kohls, and even online
stores.

It may be gross to some, but Savers at times has good used shoes too...
many women don't wear all their shoes very much, and I've found some
very good brands in almost new condition, some with the price tags still
on them, and few that have very little or no wear on them. Its buyer
be-aware, to make sure the shoes are clean and safe to wear, (or needs a
bath in saddle soap, and sterilized) but most shoes I've bought used
have been clean. Here the hard thing is finding something in the
correct size, and how worn is it, or stretched out or worn to how
someone else walks.

Then that leaves some pennies for food, gas, rent, insurance for
everything, and still some for a trip to DLV '13.
