Well I am still a In-n-Out Burger fan. I remember before they opened
here in AZ we would hunt them out in California and get two because we
enjoyed them so much.

When they finally opened here in Scottsdale, the line was 100 deep
waiting to get in.

I was not one of them, but it was fascinating to watch. They even
covered on the eveningg News.

Katherine,

thank you for the invitation. However we are headed up the coast hwy (1)
from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. I will keep this information handy
and the next time I am in LB, I will let you know and maybe we can catch
a bit together.

Thank you again,

SUSAN

Hi Katherine!

Ditto on Red Robin. Love their burgers too and also medium to medium
rare - where its still pink in the middle (not red). The flavor is much
better at that point. I love their egg burger and the only place that I
know had has it on the menu - basically one or two eggs cooked over
hard. It sounds weird but I got to really like it. There are a few
places locally that has it, but Red Robin is the only national chain
that has it on their menu that I know of. That was a few years
ago... hope its still on the menu.

Thank you too for the info on DUI. I was wondering why I would get more
thirsty after drinking - and the only thing that would satisfy it plain
water. I used to love the big zig-zag cut fries when I was a small kid -
it was either deep fried in lard or baked in the oven. I still like
them but I rarely see them in restaurants anymore. Steak fries with the
skin on is good to.

I will always like the combination of a good burger deluxe, fries, and
a chocolate malted shake. Now instead of enjoying it as a guy, I can also
enjoy it femme too - and have the strawberry shake.

Now if they can bring back the car-hops on roller skates, and the trays
that fit on the door windows...

Yeah, its showing my age...

Yeah, their reputation always brings in the hordes of hungry hamburger
lovers wherever they open a new restaurant. Somehow I've always had the
feeling it's not hamburgers they sell but the concept of the California
Lifestyle they sell.

Hey Susan, Don't they also line up to see "Rain" in Scottsdale? LOL.
Only joking. My Best Bud is in Phoenix and his ex is in Surprise, when
they were together they lived in Glendale.

I've been there and watched Thunder/Lightning storms go on for hours
that didn't give up a drop of rain...

Hugs...

Hi Kumiko,

Yeah, Medium-Rare for me too. There munu is listed on their web site,
redrobin.com . If they bring back the car hops I will be the first in
line to apply for the job... I'll have to pass on the skates though, my
old ankles have it hard enough with high heels, but yeah, I remember
them also. Hey, did you ever see the high heel roller skates? That would
be a real killer for me.

Are you CA and anywhere around Bellflower? There is a place called "Big
Mike's" on Clark Ave (17845 Clark Ave, Bellflower, CA 90706,
562/866-6967) just south of Artesia Blvd (just off 91 Fwy). They make a
burger that is around 3/4 pounds, on a large bun, with a spicy sausage
link sliced down the middle and placed on top, you can get it without
the link also. I buy it, take the link off, take it home, and have it as
a lunch the next day. It's fairly reasonably priced too for all you get.

Big Mike Special... Burger, fries and a drink $6.25.

LHK... Kat

It's the original Tommy's Hamburgers for me on Rampart St. in Los Angeles. As far as I know it's the only burger that offers chili as a condiment at no extra price. Hamburgers are all BBQed. There's even a Tommy's in Las Vegas, a franchise of the original, but not as good. Ain't nothing like a BBQed chili burger.

HI Kat,

Thanks for the comment and yes we do go out into the Rain. When they
conduct news surveys on TV, you can always tell the natives for their
answer is "OH we just LOVE the RAIN, We need it so bad" .. then they run
out and play in the rain. I have been know to do that with my Children
and grandchildren.

We used to set up chairs on the Patio and Drive way to watch the
lighting storms. Pour a pitcher om Margaritas and just watch the storm
and the kids play in the rain.

LOL
