Just get your ears pierced, much better selection and it doesn't hurt as
much!

Paste Jewelry

Postby Katie Wilson » Mon Apr 16, 2012 3:51 pm

Hi Gang.
While I am in L/V I would like to see and possibly buy some clip on earrings.
Does anyone know where I can get good quality paste jewelry with clip on earrings. I have bought over the net and been quite satisfied but I would like to take a side trip while I am in town and buy a few items if they are decent quality at a reasonable price. I would also like to buy some clip on/Pierced adapters too.

Huggers. Katie.

You might also consider the Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet (Friday) or Just You
(formerly Glamour Boutique, Wednesday open house).

Claire's Accessories in the Fashion Show Mall (general vicinity of Dillard's IIRC) has all kinds of things like that.

Annie, is there any store in Vegas that sells large size bracelets
(8-9")? How about large rings(10-13)?

I'm not really sure about size. I'm assuming you're interested in lower-price selections here.

The Target' (pronounced with a faux accent aigu) store at Flamingo and Maryland has a fairly large accessories section. Straight in the main entrance and kind of to the left, IIRC.

The Bijoux Terner shops in the various casinos (TI and Bally's, several others) will have a good selection of various accessories as well.

Claire's Accessories, as mentioned, Fashion Show Mall.

There are several accessories places in Fantastic Indoor Swapmeet, Oakey and Decatur. The DLV gang will be going there on Friday.

If you're looking for something more along the line of "fine jewelry", there are various shops in Caesars, Wynn, and Planet Hollywood.

A lot Of the the jewelry stores like Claire's, Icings, etc... have
converters to change pierced to clip ons, you just bend the post down
with a small pair of pliers and slip the post into the sleeve for it in
the clip on converter. If the earrings have the fishhook then go to
JoAnne's fabrics or Michael's arts and crafts stores, they have ones
that you use to replace the pierced hook woth a clip on one, and they
are cheaper...

I had mine done about 4 weeks ago at Merle Norman. It cost $40.00, which
included the stud earrings, the piercing, a bottle of antiseptic (to
apply twice or more a day), a care sheet and a Guarantee certificate. I
picked out Rhinestone studs (they have about 30 choices to choose from),
you have to leave their studs in for 6 to 8 weeks (estimated total
healing time) then you can replace them with whatever style suits your
fancy. I have some 6+ inchers that are just waiting to climb on board
and be displayed.

Wait for a few months before wearing anything heavy, otherwise the holes
get real big. When I got mine done, I left the studs in for about 10
days and then replaced them with heavy fishing line. Worked like a
charm and I could do it stealth!

Love ya,

Gina
