Went to Drink and Drag tonight. The place was locked up tighter than a

We may not get an official answer until tomorrow, but we do have a very solid in-writing agreement to substitute a well-known long-open alternative venue should D&D not be ready for us.

Hi Holly,

Sorry you read you went down there and nothing was open.

I think the new date - or was the latest news back in Feb - it was
reported in Vegas Chatter: titled: "The Opening of Drink & Drag Is
Dragging On A Bit"stated the opening from March 31st moved to April 6th
- that is next friday (Good Friday).

Hi Kumi,

Yes, we (my wife and I) spoke to a security person there and he told us
they were "trying" to be ready to open on the 6th. We knew the official
opening had been rescheduled to the 6th but had heard that there was
going to be a soft opening last Saturday. Even though we couldn't see
inside, it looks like there is still a lot to do. There is no signage
up yet and they aren't listed on the building directory at all. I know
that the cosmetic stuff can happen fast but even so, they are going to
have to get with it soon. The opening has been delayed several times
already. Even if they get it opened on the 6th, that gives them just
over two weeks to shake down the operation, make adjustments, fine tune
it to be ready for us in the 23rd. I'm glad we have a Plan B.

No secret at all. If you want to know (this goes for anyone) write in off line.

We want to avoid posting it in a public forum along with the title of the activity, since history has shown that when substitute venues are posted, some will skim and skip details and show up in the wrong place.

According to the Facebook page the Grand Opening is now May 5th.

The facebook page has added photos (today) and some blog of what appears to be
the initial staff with names - and re-emphasis of the new May 5th opening -
plus a photo of the newly completed and approved dressings rooms. They also
show their initial limited snack bar menu - to include hot dogs,chips, nachos,
sweets, pretzels....

Looks like Drink and Drag will be closed till next month.
