Hi All.
As not everyone who is coming to D L V 2012 will be familiar with the City I thought I might put the benefit of my many trips to *The Gambling Mecca* to good use and help someone new to L/V who might need some advice on places to stay and things to do without breaking the bank.
Please anyone else who would like to help in this way feel free to add your own Vegas Vacation tips and hints to the list also. Even if this topic in discussion helps only one person then it was worth writing and adding to.
So here goes....
For those who know Las Vegas it is an easy fix to find a place to stay for a reasonable price or even for free but it's a hit and miss venture for those who have never been there before and don't know the town and the ways to save money.
1) I can honestly say that (http://www.vegas.com) helped me when I was new to vacationing there. It is free to enroll in and has some decent prices for Hotels, meals, Shows and even air. hotel combo's too. (There is a one time cost to assure free cancellation if necessary too) and it is around $10.00 which many other web sites do not do for you!
2. There are a few off strip hotel/casino's which are very reasonable for the first time out girl who doesn't care to brave the elevators etc' at high end casino's. Terribles at Paradise Rd and Flamingo is one of them for around $39.00 per night and may be even cheaper through **Vegas, com**. The Tuscanny Suites is another. The CAT Transit bus stops each way right outside their doors on Flamingo Rd for those who are ok to use the bus system too.( Double deck British style busses of the very latest kind ) Terribles is a smaller Casino and a 5 minute cab ride to the busiest part of the Strip, and you can get a bus directly to downtown on Paradise Rd too.
2A) Terribles still has a $3.95 breakfast buffet which would never be anything to write home about, but it is clean and friendly and (It will cost you more than double that just to have a muffin and a coffee at One of the Strip Casino cafe's ).
3) **The Las Vegas Advisor** is an organization who puts out a yearly coupon book which covers everything from Two for one meals and shows to Hotel stays. As of last month it was $40 or close to it and the savings are very extensive, There is a wide range and various levels of places to dine etc' and mid range shows too. (Not all but Quite a few of the 2 for 1 meals vouchers are also classified as 2 for 1 OR 1/2 price for a single ).
You can receive it via the Mail ( 2 weeks delivery US and Canada ) or you can pick it up yourself at their offices when you arrive in L/V. You will need a car for this as they are somewhere off Valley View behind the Rio.
I am sure that our local L/V Girls and frequent visitors also will know some even better tips to survive for less in Las Vegas .
I Do hope that this helps someone to make the decision to come and enjoy our Terrific Girly Vacation week with us.
Huggers Katie.
