Laura,

I saw quite a few "Pinkfesters" at SCC last week, but I'm not sure you
were one of them, since the font on the SCC passes was so damn small.
LOL!

My compliments on a very reasonable response to what most of us here
consider a recurring NON-ISSUE.

I would offer that there are MANY other places that even a
"non-passable" CD can go to party here in (mostly) trans-friendly IL,
and several of those places aren't gay bars either.

All it takes is a little self-confidence, a big smile, and a full wallet
to have fun in my fair city, regardless of what you're wearing.

Just my never-to-be humble observation.

It was puzzling and a bit sad, to see the someone, who makes a point of
always introducing herself as the "Chair of Illinois' only all Trans
advocacy group", describe any sort of discrimination against any members
of the Transgender community as a "nonissue",or "nonesense".

Whether or not the management is correct in their quoting of the law,
(something still under investigation), and despite their "prostitution"
argument, it appears to be a clear-cut example of "profiling", and is
blatant trans-phobic behavior.

If there were something more deserving of advocacy action, I'm not sure
what that might be.

June
