Well, the costume that I ordered was from halloweenstreet.com, and it's
actually a Mother Superior costume...I don't think they have one at the
goth website. I got it because it was available in the larger sizes
(mother superiors are always fat, aren't they?) but I may swap all or
part of with for a regular nun habit...
...probably couldn't find a secular one...
Sorry, bad joke...
I would go with the cotton/polyester too. Any kind of wool, even
lightweight, is unbearable in Tucson, and probably wouldn't be great for
Vegas either, most of the year.
Decisions, decisions on which one to go with. the Benedictine and
Franciscan are probably the more classic "nun" look, but I have to
admire the Carmelites...among all of the brides of Jesus, they have to
have been the most self-sacrificing. Did you know that they used to
drink spit and blood from diseased people to try to cleanse them? It
would be the ultimate form of flattery and respect for them to dress
like one of them and go to the Del-Mar for an adult movie.
> No Flying Nun head gear though.... :-)
It's gotta be out there somewhere. If you run across any other
interesting nun sites on the web, let us know!
