LOL, don't forget Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal, Hymie Goldbaum, Allen Glick, and Moe Kleinman over at the pre-Boyd Stardust. :)

Most of those guys were notorious hoods who pulled off a very clever skimming operation right under the nose of the Gaming Commission. I think the most ingenious stunt they pulled was the cashiers' booth which "did not exist" officially. :)

Rosenthal is still around, freelancing as a "gaming consultant" out of Florida (http://www.frankrosenthal.com/) although he's banned for life from Nevada casinos. He and Glick got spanked hard by the Gaming Commission in the early 1980s when they finally got enough on them to shut them down!

You and I most likely crossed paths back then. If you remember, when I first met you at DLV I said I thought you looked familiar. :)

Oops, update! I didn't do my homework before I posted this. I checked the web site I posted and it appears that Frank has passed on.

Rosenthal died last year. One other was left out. Ash Resnick - Played for
the Boston Celtics then worked for the Patriarchia crime family out of
New England. Opened and managed Caesar's Palace when it opened. On the plus
side gave boxer Joe Lewis a ceremonial job when he was down and out.

Oh yes he is also my wife's cousin.

I'm going to miss the Sahara. It was my Vegas home. I'm definitely going
to have to stop and visit my favorite bartender in the world before he
and everyone moves on to other places.
