Access to IP (was Where Are We Staying?)

What is the parking situation at the IP? If I'm driving, is there an underground parking garage or how does it work?

There's a good size self-park structure in the rear. Easiest access in-out is via Audrie St. to the east of the property.

Occasionally, but not often, when the garage is getting close to full on the weekends, they will have security out there checking room keys.

There's also valet parking in the front.

Don't worry, the only stupid question is the one that is not asked!

Yes, there is access to the IP off of LV Blvd, if you want to do things the hard way. The first rule of driving in Las Vegas is to avoid the Strip if at all possible. The Strip traffic can be nasty, even in "non-rush" hours, and the area of the IP (Flamingo-Strip area) can be particularly congested.

The easiest way in and out of the IP when driving is via Audrie or Winnick, and both are very easy.

Audrie runs north from Flamingo, just east of the Strip. Your landmark is an Italian restaurant named Battista's. Turn north on Audrie and bear left. You will see the IP garage as you swing left onto Winnick.

Alternately, take Koval (about 1/2 mile east of the Strip) to Winnick, turn west on Winnick, which will curve right and run directly into the IP garage.

If you absolutely insist on using the Strip, it's easier when coming from the south. Turn right into the U-shaped drive. Valet parking will be right by the main doors. Keep going and turn right for the self-park garage.

Yes is very easy arrive driving...

And the direct access room to parking without thru pas the casino is the best if you dont want any crowd walkways...!!!

If you are staying there or just coming and going the 2nd level of the parking is perfect for access to the casino floor. Turn right when you get through the doors and left at the 2 escalators, that gets you into the casino and it is also where the meeting point is for some events. There are easy chairs and tables there for those who are waiting for someone to arrive. This entrance also gets you to the lobby easily which is straight through the casino to the front from there.
I hope this is of some help. I found the second level perfect for arriving and departing.
