Fall Festival update

Good morning,

REALLY enjoyed this year's DLV. What would you suggest as a followup ??
Pinkfest, Fall festival, Holiday en Femme, or the SCC in Atlanta ?

Please understand that this response is extremely biased. :)

The only one of the above that's a vacation and not a convention is
Pinkfest. It's much smaller than DLV. I expect that Pinkfest 2003 will
be similar to DLV 1998 in that respect. Yes, you will see some very
familiar faces there.

No plans have been made for Pinkfest 2003 yet, but it will most likely
happen toward the middle of October in Chicago.

There may be another Fall Harvest in Omaha this year, but this is not
certain yet. I'll announce this on the main DLV list if/when I get the
word on it.

Diane,

All the venues you mentioned are all good. If you want social overall
activities, then I would suggest Pinkfest. For further details about
Pinkfest, email pinkfest@pinkmyst.com

I would also suggest Holiday en Femme as your second choice, as far as
$;s go. It's held in Denver, Nov 6-9th. I'll be there. There will be
close to 100 sisters and SO's and friends of our community there.

As far as SCC'03, well this is the prime event for the transgendered
community. I've been there for the past 2 years and I'll be there this
year. The attendance at SCC is usually 600+ sisters, SO's and friends.

As for Fall Festival, I've never been and I won't be there. IMO, this is
a larger closet for closeted sisters. For what is it is worth.

I'm so glad you came to DLV'03, and as a co-organizer of DLV'02 and
DL'03, I was gald to meet you, There is a group in PNX called the
Cactus Rose Club, which is a pretty good support org. I'm cc'ing this
email to my best GF in the worlld, Rhianna Roberts and my new best GF
NX GF, Lari Sue Young.

How about a long weekend in Eureka Springs Arkansas. The Eureka Enfemme
Getaway is in early november. Type in Eureka Getaway into any search
engine to get the web site. Guaranteed fun time. Almost like a "Very
small" DLV.

Sisters,

I've heard nothing about great things about the Eureka Enfemme Getaway.
Actually it happens in twice a year - in the spring and the late fall. I
will tell ya'll, this is primarily a mainstream event, yet from what
I've heard from those sisters that have attended Enfemme, that it was a
very positive experience.

I personally won't be there due to a T-event we have here in Denver,
Holiday en Femme, Nov 6-9th. I know a number of sisters that attended
DLV'03, primarily west of the Mississippi River, are planning on coming
to Denver for this HEF. But those of you that have not exhausted your
social budget (and clothing budget) for 2003 attending SBS socials or
SCC'03, or Pinkfest. or Paradise in the Poconos, and cannot make HEF in
Denver, I would recommend you check out the Eureka Enfemme Getaway.
