Latest updates:

Welcome to those who just registered or joined the list. Things are
happening fast, and you will find that the pace will quicken even more
over the next few weeks. There's still time to get in on things, but you
do have to make some decisions quickly and make your travel and lodging
arrangements, if necessary.

Everybody's looking forward to DLV in less than a month!

The first round of activity sign-up mailings went out last Thursday.

Thanks to all who have filled out their activity selections.

If you did not receive the activity sign-up mailing or if you are having
difficulty signing up for activities, please see the note below, and
please let us know if you need assistance with this process.

Sahara room rates are on the rise. Sunday the 2nd. is up to $52 and the
7-8 are now up to $99 with no more arrivals on Saturday the 8th.

San Remo weekdays are now up to $55 except for Thursday still at $42
(for now) and weekends at $90.

Imperial Palace is still $49/99 (for now). Don't procrastinate, gang,
rates will continue to rise until "Sold Out" signs appear!

Quick check with Southwest Airlines shows SOME $99 (each way) fares
still available to/from Las Vegas from several major airports, but many
flights now show the deep-discount fares as sold out.

Delta/Continental/Untied are showing bookable fares from the mid $200's
to the mid $300's depending on airport, flight, and the phase of the
moon.

Activity sign-up issues:

As of this writing (Saturday evening) it appears that about 60% of the
people who received activity sign-up mailings last Thursday have made
their initial selections.

Unfortunately this year it seems like there have been more issues and
problems involving non-receipt and difficulty making the selections.

If you do not consider yourself to be very computer-savvy and are having
difficulty signing up for activities, please write in. Send e-mail to
dlv@geekbabe.com and we will do our best to help you.

Here's a summary of some of the problems that have been reported, and
what's been done to correct those problems.

1. If you did not receive you activity sign-up mailing.

If you were registered and validated by last Wednesday, you should have
received this. If you held a validated registration as of last Wednesday
and did not receive this, here is what to do:

a. First, check your "junk" or "bulk" folders, as some providers may
erroneously classify these as spam. Instances of this have been
reported this year by users of Hotmail and Yahoo mail.

b. If you still can't find it, or you think you may have accidentally
deleted it, send e-mail to dlv@geekbabe.com and we will resend it.

2. If you received your activity sign-up mailing but something is not
working properly:

a. If you clicked on the link and nothing happened, try manually
cut-pasting or carefully typing the included URL into your
browser's location bar. If this does not work, send e-mail to
dlv@geekbabe.com and we will provide you with a work-around.

b. If you clicked on the link and something unexpected happened, or
you got an error message, send e-mail to dlv@geekbabe.com and let
us know what happened.

3. If you will be attending with your SO, but find you can only sign
up one person (the selection for two is greyed out), update your
registration to show your SO as attending, and repeat the activity
selection.

4. If you received you activity sign-up mailing but you don't have the
slightest idea of what to do with it, let us know. Send e-mail to
dlv@geekbabe.com and we'll help you get your selections made. In the
worst case we'll do your selections manually.

Limo tour:

Each of our regular weekly mailings will feature one of our activities
in depth.

This week we feature our annual Limo Tour, which will happen on Thursday
evening, May 6.

The Limo Tour has been one of the most popular and highest rated
activities since it was started back in 2001.

A fleet of chauffeured stretch limousines will take us to see (and be
seen on) the Las Vegas Strip, with a side trip to the Downtown Las Vegas
area.

The tour will begin at the Venetian Hotel and Casino shortly following
the conclusion of the "V" show. (Those not attending the show can join
the tour at the Venetian at the departure time.)

Several stops are planned and plenty of liquid refreshments will be in
the limos. :)

As Tootsye, co-coordinator of the 2004 Limo Tour states:

"We want the girls to understand that this is a photo shoot opportunity
with socializing and making a statement at the casino hotels."

Yes, this is the opportunity to dress up, to see, and to be seen!

Cost: $36 per person, which includes beverages. Sign-up is required to
reserve your space(s) and Payment may be made in person at any major DLV
activity on Tuesday or before. If you will not be arriving by Tuesday,
send e-mail to: dlv@geekbabe.com for pre-payment instructions. No
cancellations on this activity after Tuesday, May 4.

Dress: "Dress nicely". Nice casual at minimum, to very dressy, to formal
will all be appropriate. No slutty/fetish, clubwear, or costumes,
please.

Golf reminder and update:

The 2004 Diva Las Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament will happen on
Thursday of DLV week at the Desert Rose Golf Course.

Cost per player is $65.00 and includes, greens fees, cart fees, range
balls, and contests. The entry fee is non refundable but is
transferable.

If you're interested in playing, we have a separate golf mailing list
for those who will be golfing with the group. To join the golf list,
just send e-mail to dlvgolf@geekbabe.com and say you want to join
the golf list.

And, of course, remember golf when you sign up for activities.

>how do you pay for the events? How much do they cost?

Each activity is ala carte. For those activities where there is a
charge, it will be clearly noted on the activity sign-up screen. (You
will get a link to this screen after you register.) For things like the
group meals, you pay at the activity. Some special activities may
require prepayment, or have that as an option. If there are special
payment requirements, these will appear on the activity sign-up screen.

>Where is the central meeting place? Where do we all meet?

We meet at the activities. There's no single central facility or meeting
place, and there's no "staging" or "mustering" before the various
activities. Explicit instructions on where to meet and how to find the
group at the activity locations will be included in the large final
mailing.

>Where do you change?

In most cases, in your hotel room. Most activity locations will not have
changing facilities. If you're uneasy changing in your hotel room and
then venturing out, ask for a volunteer Big Sister to advise you and
accompany you if necessary.

>It looks like a lot of fun. About how many girls are coming?

It *IS* a lot of fun. :)

We currently have 118 validated registrations. We're estimating our
turnout to be between 110 and 130 people this year, again with never
the entire group in any one place at any one time.

Oh, and they won't all be "girls", you will be surprised at the mix
of people we get. :)

No, you didn't miss it. This was a clerical error on my part, and was
not noticed by those who did the proof-reading of the sign-up screens.

It now appears on the list. Fortunately the coordinator of this has
stated "sign-up requested but not required", so it's up to you if you
want to go back and fill in the sign-up screen again.

>Is this a mistake? Two lunch's on Wednesday? Which is the official one?

This is not a mistake, there are two lunches scheduled at the same
time on Wednesday. Both are optional, of course, and both are equally
"official", if there is such a thing. :)

In previous years, lunch at the Bellagio has followed the air tours,
which most likely will not happen this year, but they wanted to do the
Bellagio Lunch anyway. I also believe that the people going on the Star
Trek ride that morning will be heading to the Bellagio for this.

Deadlines and cutoffs (updated):

Wednesday, April 21 is the deadline for pre-payment (discount rate) for
the Lake Mead Boat Tour. Payment must be RECEIVED by April 21. E-mail

Tuesday, April 27 is the deadline for payment for golf. See golf list

Wednesday, April 28, 2359 CDT is the deadline for DLV 2004 registration.
This is also the deadline for all activity sign-ups and changes.

Monday, May 3, is the deadline to pick up your "token" if you are on the
confirmed list for the Night Of The Soiled Doves side trip. Any tokens
unclaimed on Tuesday morning will be released to the waiting list.

Tuesday, May 4, is the deadline for payment for group seating for
Thursday's "V" show. If you want to sit with the DLV group for this
show, payment must be received no later than Tuesday. Payment may be
made at any major DLV activity on Tuesday or before. (Coordinator: Aiko)

Tuesday, May 4, is the deadline for payment for the Limo Tour. Spaces
not claimed by Wednesday will be released to the waiting list. Payment
