Welcome:

Welcome to those who just joined the list. We're looking forward to
having you with us next year at DLV 2007.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

This is the first general mailing of the Diva Las Vegas 2007
Announcement List.

For the rest of the year of 2006, you can expect to receive about one
mailing per month, which will be mostly a summary on what's going on
with respect to the planning of DLV 2007.

DLV 2007 dates:

Just a few days ago DLV ORG group voted to hold DLV 2007 from Monday,
April 23, thru Saturday, April 28 inclusive. This timeframe received a
2/3 majority vote over the other proposed timeframe, showing very
significant support for it.

This timeframe has been announced as tentative on the DLV web site.

A "call for comments" period is now open. Barring any serious
objections, these dates will become final on September 1.

Your comments are encouraged. You may comment either by replying to this
mailing or posting to the DLV Discussion Forum which is on the web at:

Unless otherwise requested, all comments received will be forwarded to
the DLV Discussion Forum.

Please do not make any non-refundable travel or lodging arrangements
until the dates are announced as final, which is expected to occur on
or about September 1, 2006. This will be announced in the next DLV
general mailing.

DLV 2006 photos:

This is a final call for photo removal requests.

Over 200 more photos of DLV 2006 have been added to the staging area
within the past month.

If you attended DLV 2006 and have not received (or misplaced) the
address of the staging area, please write in to dlv@geekbabe.com and
we will send it to you.

Everybody who attended DLV 2006 has a reasonable number of "NO WAY"
requests on any photos in which they appear. If you want any photos
removed, please send in the photo number to dlv@geekbabe.com and we
will remove it. A cut-paste of the URL is a good way to do this.

As of this time all removal requests have been processed.

ETA for final DLV 2006 photo pages is sometime mid to late August.

Pinkfest:

Another "Vacation Not A Convention" happens in Chicago every year in
October, and that is Pinkfest.

Pinkfest is smaller than DLV, but still a lot of fun! Yes, if you
attend Pinkfest, you will see some familiar (and some new) faces!

Pinkfest 2006 is scheduled to run from Thursday, October 12 thru Sunday,
October 15. These dates may now be considered final for Pinkfest.

We have a mailing list for Pinkfest, which is discreet and militantly
spam-free. To be added to the Pinkfest mailing list, just send a
request to: pinkfest@pinkmyst.com
