I agree.

Charles IS the best bartender.

I'm also definitely a fan.

He makes the best tasting drinks,
period! And not skimping on the
different ingredients or alcohol.
His presentation of those drinks
are also excellent.

All the drinks I've had has NEVER
been weak.

He's the only one I will seek out
to go to see and gets tipped much
higher than 20%.

>Charles IS the best bartender.

Charles does make a mean drink! They are not cheap, but in this case
it's worth it occasionally, as they come to over $10 with tip included.
LOL, it does help when somebody is buying them for you! (Thanks again to
a certain individual whose ears are burning.) :)

>His presentation of those drinks are also excellent.

LOL, but he doesn't do "Flair"! :)

>All the drinks I've had has NEVER been weak.

True, compared to the "well drinks" at the casino bars and on the casino
floor, Charles' drinks do pack a punch! Several times I've had to limit
myself, knowing that if I had one more I would not be able to make it
back to the room under my own power.

The Charles Bar also hits that sweet spot between mainstream-ness
and comfort. Nobody can say that it's not mainstream or not
upscale, yet, at the times when Charles is on duty, it's quite
comfortable for those who are newly out.

>can you tell me where charles bartends

Charles is the grave shift bartender at the casino bar formerly known as
the Allegro Bar in the Bellagio. It now has no official name that we
know of, but it's immediately to the left of the main entrance of
Caramel, the night club.

A recent photo of Charles, so you can identify him, is here:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlv2010/images/s14.img-1987.jpg

Charles usually works the 2:00am to 10:00am shift. If he's not visible
there, also check at the bar to the immediate right of Caramel as well,
as I have seen him on that side occasionally.

One caveat: Although the Charles Bar (and most of the Bellagio) will
treat a TG the same as any other member of the public, it's hardcore
mainstream, and mainstream dress and mainstream behavior will be
expected.

>and can someone tell me where i can go tgirl friendly to have a go time

The two clubs which appear to be currently the faves of the TG community
are Crews'n and the EscapeLounge. Both of them (and others) are listed
on our Big List which is on the web here:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/vendors/

One other item of suggested reading, our TG Guide to Las Vegas appears
here:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/guide.html

If you need any more specific information, ask here and I'm sure you
will receive it in abundance. :)

hmmm... true, I haven't seen him juggle
a single bottle, though he does have a nice style
as he preps the drinks.

I wonder if he does flair? It would be cool
if he did! Has anyone seen him even slightly
toss a bottle? Then again I don't think Bellagio
would allow it even if he could.

Escape Lounge happens to be one of favorite places in Las Vegas.

4213 W Sahara Ave
Las Vegas, NV 89102
Neighborhood: Westside

It's been the location for our Pity Parties. How many now? 3....4?

Hi vanessa,

He works on the main casino floor from 2AM to 10 AM at the bar outside
to the left of the Caramel Club, sadly they haven't adopted the "Charles
Bar" name we tend to use.

Say hi from Gina, it should at least get you chuckle.

Love ya,

Gina

I asked him about it a couple years ago, kind of jokingly.

He responded along the lines of "We don't do that here" or
something like that, almost in the tone that it would be
beneath him to do it. :)

I have a feeling, however, that if you would step into
Caramel, right behind the Charles Bar, you might see things
like that.

One place that kind of surprised me where they do a lot of
that is the drink booth out on Carnaval Court. They do quite
a "spin the bottle" show out there.

Also at the main bar at Bahama Breeze, although I haven't
seen it there regularly. Not this year, but the year before
I was early so I went to the main bar (the one to the right)
and ordered a beer. The bartender and barback put on quite a
production for one beer! The barback opened the fridge, and
with a very well choreographed motion, picked out the bottle
and threw it behind his back, with a spin, of course, to the
bartender, who in one motion, caught it, opened it and placed
it in front of me.

I wonder how many bottles they broke practicing that? :)
