A tee shirt with that type of phrase can be associated with a movement
with dedicated and sometimes zealot intensity involved people that
support what it says, is publicly taking a stand, and draws attention
wanted or unwanted to themselves, and is prepared for the 'incoming'
response from joe public (as JoAnn is saying). It can draw those of
similar attitude and thinking.

Does allowing that type of shirt to be worn at DLV change DLV to evolve
from a vacation to be connected with or become part of a political
movement with a statement to make? Then those that go to DLV for a
vacation it can be inconsiderate. For those that don't want that type
of in your face attention, it can be inconsiderate.

Along those same lines, how about a tee shirt that had DLV or Diva Las
Vegas or the DLV logo on a basic black tee with a rainbow pattern with
the lettering or jellymold in bright white and bold. Or the tee has the
phrase "DLV and Proud"

Is it the same thing?.

Its not a clear as the other phrase but it can represent the same thing
but not as blunt or in your face, but would it be inconsiderate to
others?

Unless the person reading the tee shirt knows what DLV is about it may
mean nothing to some, but wearing that shirt, be prepared for people to
come up to the wearer and ask what that phrase means. Then the person
wearing the tee, probably dressed as a female answers in a male voice
what DLV is all about....becomes a DLV representative to the public.
Then he's not a vacationer/tourist, but a public speaking
representative to a cause.

Hi.

I didn't attend DLV this year but I can't let this frivolous infantile
question breeze by without at least a mild comment. As I wish to attend
again someday soon I feel clompelled to comment here to preserve rthe
decorum we have built over the years.

If you wnt to wear a sandwich board proclaiming your Tranny leanings
then go to a Pride parade... DLV is so far removed from the ideologies
of the flamboyant it is almost a womens annual vacation such as the Red
Hat bigade. I love the feeling I get from being with some of the girls
of distinction who put this together with such care and are sometimes
too nice to turn anyone away.

Wearing silly childish shirts is like waving a Red Flag at a Large Bull
and then wondering why he snorted and charged at you.

Katie.
