Hi Yvonne,
So glad you're able to come over again for DLV. I can't wait to show
you some new MAC tricks.
Yes, you're right about Brunch happening at the same time as other
things "already in progress". That was actually intentional. Brunch is
for those late risers who've either missed the Early Bird activities
completely or are planning to arrive fashionably late to some of the
afternoon activities. Or, more realistically, it's just a place for
those who are looking for somewhere to eat at that time of day who might
want to know a spot where they can find and eat with other DLV people
without a lot of fuss and bother. It's for the convenience of those not
otherwise occupied. As I said in an earlier note somewhere:
+If you're not already out there bright eyed and spending money at the
+fun shopping trips, fantastic open houses, and great airplane rides
+that the DLV mavens have arranged (in other words, you overslept and
+missed them again this year, you Bad Girl), then at least drag yourself
+into the Sahara Buffet for some sustenance. Just look for the little
+sign that says "DLV" like the airport limo drivers hold up. I'll hang
+around outside the entrance of the Buffet (or wherever the line starts)
+until 1 PM, then I'll have it displayed at my table. You can always go
+back to sleep for another hour afterwards..... like me. [:-)]
+I promise to wake up and definitely be there Monday, Tuesday, and
+Wednesday. After that, Brunch assumes a life of its own. Come in boy
+mode or girl mode, it doesn't matter.
You shouldn't chose Brunch over doing something else, unless food is
your #1 concern at that particular hour. The DLV schedule is just too
full of fun things to do to be able to do everything. If you try to do
everything, you'll burn out. Pacing, girl, pacing. :-)
Hugs,
-- Tina
