just a thought: it seems unlikely that (most) of us can do the
"hot-chick-in-camo-bikini-firing-full=auto-while-rappelling-with
the-other-hand" as ads appear in many "serious" firearms mags. but how
about, for a "shot group" (photo, that is, for the record), maybe a
quick change for everyone (in the phone booth) to something
incongruously formal? it might be amusing (& maybe could turn into a
limited-issue calendar).

Hi All,

Sorry for the late notice, but I finally have some information for the
shooting activity.

The range fee will be $20.00 payable at the range to the range.

If you bring your own ammunition, I will be bringing a .223 AR-15, a
couple of .308's an M1A and an AR-10. I will also be bringing a scoped
bolt action .223 for the contest and a scoped .308 for the contest.

As for pistols, a fine selection of .45's will be available and at least
one 9mm.

If you do not bring your own ammo, the range has some for purchase and I
will bring a considerable supply. The cost for rifle ammo is about
$1.00 each and pistol ammo is about $0.50 each. (Sorry the low supply
of ammo due to the election of an extremely non-gun friendly federal
administration, has really impacted prices.)

We will car pool from somewhere on the Strip, I will have two seats in
the Hummer, and I'm sure other cars will be available.

As is the practice in all shooting activities we will be prompt, we will
leave the car pool place by exactly 0800 on Friday Morning to ensure
arrival by 0900.

I need all of the shoot participants to call me at 619-992-5328 and tell
me where you are staying and what your contact information will be so I
can make any last minute adjustments. (Ignore the ugly male voice on
the phone, he's really an okay guy.) If I don't answer the phone, leave
your name (female) so I can check it off the list, where you are
staying, whether you need a ride and your phone number, and please say
it slowly... or email me (actually better, but I do need your phone
number)

I will also determine the best car pool place depending on everybody's
location.

MANDATORY: YOU MUST HAVE EYE AND EAR PROTECTION, IF YOU DON'T BRING YOUR
OWN YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY EAR PLUGS (IN HORRIBLE COLORS) AND SAFETY
GLASSES. AT ALL TIMES ON THE RANGE YOU MUST WEAR THEM. WE WILL BE
RUNNING A VERY SAFE LINE, MICHELLE AND I WILL BE THE SAFETY OFFICERS, IF
YOU VIOLATE ANY RULES YOU WILL BE WARNED AND THEN TOSSED IF YOU REPEAT.

I want this to be an enjoyable event, if you are a newbie to shooting
and want a lot of help, I've taught hundreds to enjoy the hobby and I'd
be happy to help you. You might add that to the message on the phone.

This is intended to be a girl-mode event, if you don't have the cajones
to do it in girl mode, then show up in boy-mode, but the range has been
100% accepting in the past and I don't expect any problems. Jeans or
long pants and long sleeve blouses are recommended, or lots of sun
screen. The range is generally a little hot and windy. Looking good is
desired because we want to leave the impression that the Transgendered
world can be responsible gun owners and users and we aren't scary people
either.
