Hi everyone, just thought I would let everyone know that May 14 -16 is
the Nevada state HOG rally. So if you like Bikes or Bikers, we should
see a lot during Diva's! The official location is Boulder City, but
you can bet the strip will be roaring! So all you biker babes don't
forget to wear your colors! I know I will!

Kisses,

Sabrina

Sabrina, just wondering. Do any of the gurls ride.

What would happen if I rode dressed that week.

Hi Sabrina,

You've got my curiosity and concern. You say you will be wearing
colors. Are you part of this organization? if so, how open are hog
riders to our group?

I have the naive understanding that biker groups are a tough group, and
very heterosexual, with a strict definition of what is a male and a
female, and not liking anything that crosses that definition.

Would they or some individuals, take offense if any of us joining their
party, and is it possible that they or some in their ranks may not be
very nice, nor tolerant, and may physically abuse those that they see
are transgendered?

You obviously aren't familiar with the Meat Packers MC out of
Omaha! :)

Concerning, Bikers... I have to say that I am a HOG member, and I have
been riding American Iron for 38 years, although its really my other
side (Male side) that is. Bikers are very much like every other group
of people. There are some great people, and there are some self made
want to be Hollywood "Bad" Bikers assholes.

My recommendation is its probably better not to show up dressed, I
certainly don't. There are however all sorts of folks where anything
goes. There is a fare amount of "gay" bikers as well as "Dikes on
Bikes". But those groups are once again somewhat a specialty item. In
general bikers are independent, freedom loving, and can be quite loose
and wild. Of course I am speaking about American Iron, Harley Owners
Group i.e. HOG. The State rally is a sanctioned, member event,
requiring registration. I hope this adds some information.

If anyone wants to go and see the bikes and events, I would go as your
natural self, i.e. How you feel comfortable as what ever normal is for
you...

Hope this helps...

Sabrina

Hi everyone. I thought I would offer my perspective here. I'm getting
interested in this. Now I admit I've never been to a bike rally. I
think I might want to try this. I really don't know what a bike rally
is all about. The closest I've been to something like this was when
Paul Teutel Jr of Orange County Choppers came to town. I attended his
presentation at the Central Christian Church. I had a very good time.
I wore my red tshirt, long blue jeans, and black pointed pumps. And
everyone there was very nice to me. Yes I would go to the bike rally
dressed. I live this way all the time so all I have is female clothes.

What is important to keep in mind is dressing appropriately for
the event. I'm not really qualified to give fashion tips. Only you
can determine that for yourself. (I'm not speaking to any one
particular person here). Now if I go, and I'm really thinking about
it. I'd probably wear a black tshirt, and long blue jeans, and one of
my pairs of black high heeled boots, or if there's a lot of walking,
i'll wear my black sneakers.

There are TG bikers out there, and I'm sure some circulate in the
mainstream events. I think it's possible there may be other TG bikers
at this event. I have no idea how many will attend this event. That's
immaterial anyway.

There are some who may not like TG's, that true anywhere in the world.
Just as in my work, there are many who support me, and there are a very
few who don/t like what I'm doing. But it doesn't stop me from being
me.

Instead of being afraid, this may be a wonderful opportunity to
experience a different event as our true selves. I've had wonderful
conversations with people I've never met before, and places I've never
been before. I just might want to come along for the "ride" if you
will.

Might this be a good event to put on the DLV calendar?

Hope this helps, A.J. here in cool LV.

(DLV organizer's hat on)

If you want to see this happen, bring it up in ORG, volunteer to
coordinate it, and suggest a time.

The ORG group as a whole does have the final say on what does and
what does not go on the schedule, but the first step is to bring
this up in ORG.

(DLV organizer's hat off)

HOG is not an "outlaw" gang by any means. HOG is known for such
things as "friendship rides" and charity events. However, as has
been stated, bikers are a diverse group with all types, some on
the fringe. (Just like DLV is a diverse group with all types,
some on the fringe.) My gut feeling is that this one might be
best for those who are interested to explore on their own.

Seems like this would be of interest to bikers only and even then only
if they rode their bikes to town and to the event. A friend (who rides a
bike of European manufacture) says Harley's and Harley events are a
fashion statement and even many of my Harley friends Agree. A Harley
owner has an image to keep up!
