In a way this is surprising, but in a way it's not surprising.
This has to be one of the longest-running shows in Las Vegas,
and I do hate to see it close, particularly on short notice.
I do understand that casino business is down overall, but it
must be particularly hard on the Riviera, with the loss of the
Stardust and Westward Ho which further reduces the crowd in
that area of the Strip.
For those who don't know the details of the history of DLV, this
show, LaCage, was the first show ever seen by DLV back in 1997
and has been a recurring activity ever since. In fact, we did La
Cage each year for the first four years, and some saw it all
four times. I think the last time we saw it as a large group was
in 2006. Too bad we can't catch it one last time. :(
It is sad to see this close. :(
