Please let me help with this.

I have heard so many people who are confused on the event. And never do
get the gist of it.

This is Not a Convention, (((Therefore there is No fee to pay))). It is
a semi structured Vacation put on by volunteers who try to plan an
array of diverse events to suit all tastes. There are even Alterate
events run on the same night to accomodate the varied interests we have.

There is no need to sign up for everything, just pick from the web site
which event you want to attend and have the courtesy to let the
organizers know your preferences and how long you intend to be there.

You can pick from the recommended Hotel/Casinos' or book your own
favorite place to stay.

The only stipulation is that you act responsibly and dress appropriately
for the specific event you want to attend and not bring any unnecessary
attention to the group.

This is so much better than a convention because "You are in charge",
Not the organizers.

Debs, Here's my twist. And BTW, a big HOLA (Spanish for hello) from
Tucson, AZ. Not a convention = no registration fee. You pay to get to
Las Vegas. You pay to find a place to stay in Las Vegas. Once you're
there think of DLV as a big Diva Buffet. You pay for the activities
you want to participate in. All those activities are listed in the
DLV discussion mailing. They give you enough time to select and
register for those activities.

And there are all kinds of activities ranging from no & low cost to
high cost, and in between. DLV really does go out of their way to
accommodate all with various activities in various costs. It's all up
to what you want to spend once you arrive.

For example, formy first DLV I went to have a whole body waxing which
was costly (I budgeted for that though) and had a great time with my
sister-in-law Bobbi and Big Sister Mindy shopping for good makeup and
shopping at thrift stores for clothes. Limousine ride and Las Vegas
shows are about the costliest things on the Diva Buffet, but a must,
at least for your first DLV.

There are numerous eating establishments that we frequent ranging in
