I really don't think we have any trend of an increasing age,
but a very consistent trend of attracting a more mature
group. The average age over the past several years has been:

2007: 54.82
2006: 55.4
2005: 54.59
2004: 54.3

These numbers are, of course, approximate, and based on what's
reported. It's been hovering in the mid 50s for some time now.

I can answer for Fall Harvest and Pinkfest, which are the only
others I've been to in recent years.

My guess is that the average age at both is slightly, but not
significantly, younger than the average age at DLV.

I'll be seeing some FH regulars later this week, and I'll try
to remember to ask what they think the average age is.

I consider TV to be somewhat anachronistic.

TG, however, seems to be the most overloaded (multiple and
sometimes confusing meanings) of all of them.

Back in the 70s it seemed to have two fairly concise meanings,
one being an overall umbrella term for the entire community,
and another fuzzy one as a self-identity somewhere between
TV and TS.

Over the years I've heard some wildly different and even some
very bizarre meanings of the term.

My big concern on this is that there's something wrong which
we are otherwise oblivious to.

Anybody (other than me) care to take on this project? :)

It's one of the more high-maintenance jobs there is! :)
