Hurry Up And Wait!

Okay, I got my DLV registration email this afternoon and, fortunately, I
was right in front of my computer when it popped into my mailbox which
means I registered right away. But given that emails were sent out in
batches (which to me translates to veteran DLVers get priority, and
that's understandable) I wonder if the events I registered for were
already filled to capacity, or if I made it. A girl does need to plan,
you know! So, what's the deal? When will I find out if I got a spot in
my first choice? In all fairness, I would like a chance at "Plan B"
before that fills up as well.

Is the registration program savvy enough to gray-out events that are
full? Or, must we wait until the next update is sent out?

Anxiously,

Anna

The last batch of the first round of sign-up e-mails went out
mid-afternoon. Everybody who had a validated registration as of
Monday should have received them.

As of this day, hour, minute and second, nothing is full. Less than
1/3 of the responses are in yet.

The two that we're expecting to fill are Night Of The Soiled Doves,
which is now just over half full, and the Limo Tour, which is just
under 1/2 full.

There are two smaller activities which are filling much faster than
we expected, and I've got notes in to the coordinators to declare
an upper limit.

We'll put up a "FULL" notice and start a waiting list when anything
gets tight. If you ever see this, don't panic, there will always be
cancellations and no-shows and quite a few who saw the FULL notice
at sign-up will see "confirmed" when they get the Large Final
Mailing.

Since we are expecting a close-to-capacity overall crowd this year,
we'll put an activity capacity update in each general mailing.

For those who didn't get validated by last night, the next batch
is scheduled to go out this Friday.

Well, I'm tickled to death! If NSD is half full, then I am IN! Now,
what to wear???

Thank you!
