"How many people will be there?" is the most frequent
question we get. Here's the history:

1997: 5
1998: 16
1999: 30 or so
2000: 50 or so
2001: Between 60 and 70
2002: About 90
2003: 104
2004: 118
2005: 126
2006: 118
2007: 135

The big thing about numbers is that you will never see
the entire group in any one place at any one time. The
largest gatherings we have seem to draw between 70 and
80% of those who are in Las Vegas at the time.

We're trying like heck to promote two maximum-turnout
things this year, so hopefully we can get those
numbers up a bit.

>What about age ranges?

We've had people from the early 20s to over 80.
Average age is in the mid 50s and has been quite
consistent ever since we started the follow-up survey.

>What has been the biggest or most memorable event?

Biggest are not necessarily the most memorable. My
personal faves are the Night Of The Soiled Doves and
the Limo Tour.

I was wondering, what has been the average headcount over the past
years? What were the biggest and smallest counts? What about age ranges?
This has no impact on my decision to participate, I am just full of
questions! What has been the biggest or most memorable event?

I was there in 2004. No way was there 118 there.

Less than 20 for lunch, maybe 30 that night. Maybe 30 at the party.
That's all.

Please be assured that we're not exaggerating our numbers at all.
I was the one who reconciled the sign-in lists. There were indeed
118 people who showed up and checked in that year. If anything,
that count is a wee bit low, since we tend to miss a few tag-alongs
and hang-arounders.

As I know I said, you will never see the entire group at any one
time. Daytime activities attract far fewer than evening things,
and when we have multiple tracks in the evenings, the total turnout
is divided among them.

> Less than 20 for lunch,

"Less than 20" is quite typical for Lunch With Ginger.

> maybe 30 that night. Maybe 30 at the party.

I don't really know what you mean by "that night", but unless
it's a large single-track affair, "maybe 30" is typical and is
expected. If you mean the Pity Party for "the party", then 30
or so is also typical since it tracks against the Limo Tour and
the big show.

Looking back at the 2004 schedule, the Welcome Celebration and
the Carluccio's Dinner would have been the two activities with
the largest turnout.

We are most definitely not trying to inflate or exaggerate our
turnout numbers.
