Hi everyone, When I come to las vegas on business (once a year), I
prefer staying at the flamingo; would this be a good hotel for a
girlmode visit? I'm also considering the tropicana and wonder how it
compares to the flamingo (quality of rooms, pool, bars,etc.), and is
it still a good place for dlv attendees? I'm also looking at the
luxor, mirage, or new york new york. I hope I can actually attend
this year!!

I think we've had DLV people stay at the Flamingo each
year from 1998 on. I can't remember a single issue or
incident. History has shown that, at almost anyplace,
as long as you dress and act as a lady or gentleman,
whichever you prefer at the time, you will be treated
as such.

The location can't be beat!

I know one of the senior DLV organizers will be
staying there this year.

I think the main reason the Flamingo has never been
one of our suggested hotels is that it's right next
door to the Imperial Palace, which is priced somewhat
lower.

Word on the street is that the Tropicana is in
trouble, had some issues making payroll once lately.
They have Big Plans for that property, but apparently
things are not going well now.

We've had people at all three over the years. We did
have a restroom incident at the Mirage last year.
There will be a group of our people staying there
(Mirage) this year.

Annie, thank you for the update and especially for letting me know
about the tropicana: it would have been a huge mistake for me to stay
there!

Michelle, the Luxor coffee shop is one of my favorite places as well;
it's good to know that I can go there dressed up.

Hi Shannon

The Flamingo seems like its going to be popular this year!

I'm staying in the time share portion at the back of the Flamingo and I
know of one couple staying in the hotel itself.

I've been in there and stayed in the timeshare part previously with no
problems. The location is ideal, given that many of the activities will
be in and around the Bellagio, Ceasars, Paris etc, etc and access to and
from other places is available by car or the mono rail without many
problems.

I've also stayed at the Luxor without any issues and the coffee shop there
is a real favorite.
