Marriott hotels near DLV - anyone else?

Like many of you, I am on a small, shall we say *covert* budget, and I
need to decide where to spend $'s. So I was thinking of staying at the
Marriott Residence Inn Convention Center (3225 Paradise Road (Near
corner of Desert Inn Rd), which is no further away from the main strip
than Alexis Park (which looks very cute itself!) or Stratosphere, for
example. Why Marriott Residence Inn? Because it's a Marriott Rewards
category 4 hotel and 4 nights can be had for 70000 Rewards points, and I
happen to have 73000 banked. WooHOO!!!

Why do YOU care? Because Dear Sisters, a) reward points are handy for
mostly closeted, covert girls, b) because there IS a cat4 Marriott hotel
in range of DLV, c) because I am driving up from Phoenix in my own car
(which seats 4) to be at DLV Weds afternoon through Sunday morning, and
would be willing to help carpool from Phoenix and at DLV if else
interested in staying nearby or at same hotel. And finally, d) us

Further to my original post. I registered (with Rewards points!) at
Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel 3400 Paradise Road checking in Sunday pm,
April 20, staying until Thurs morning. If anyone else from DLV is
staying there or near convention center during that time, and/or coming
from Phoenix, willing to share rides and moral support. -bkj
