I've done these on occasion over the years when I've been in
Las Vegas and have a free weekend evening. The problem is that
I often don't know when this will happen until just before it
happens.

I'll almost always announce them here.

Well, it almost didn't happen. The Blue Ox, where we
were supposed to meet, was closed up tight. Lights
were on, nobody obvious inside, nobody answered the
bell. :(

We quickly decided on "Plan B", Fellini's at the
Stratosphere. Unfortunately we didn't have contact
info for a few who said they were gonna be there, so
I'm sure we left some out. :(

We did have a good meal and a good time. One couple
decided to demonstrate some ballroom dance steps right
in the middle of the restroom floor. :)

Most of the others were gonna do karaoke, but I was
very tired so I just came back to the hotel and crashed.

For the record, the paragraph noted early was intended to read:
