Silverton (was Re: places to stay)

I stayed at the Silverton one year. The one thing I will never forget
was getting a whole lobster dinner for $14.95, and that the food in
general was really good. That's my opinion only... Tony tried their
breakfast buffet and didn't think that it was any better than the
others.

Silverton is small, but a nice place and great service. When I lived on
that side of town I ate and played there frequently. Rooms are
comfortable, nice pool, and the food is good in comparison. They also
still have that $1.99 mile high strawberry shortcake deal. Damn them.

I've stayed at the Silverton a few times while out there on business.
It's a small place, but nice. Only problem is that Silverton is so far
out in the toolies! Only things it's really close to are Belz and Fry's.
(But some may think of that as an advantage. :)

I do think their food is better than most. I liked their AYCE fillet
thing, but they discontinued that a long time ago. :(

One thing I remember about their breakfast buffet is that each person
got a cooked-to-order steak with the buffet. Most breakfast buffet
steaks seem like they were what was left over from the restaurant the
night before and come one way only ... extra extra well. :(

Casino is small, but I remember the drink service was frequent. :)
