Thank you DLV, and Volunteers for a wonderfull time. I would like to
respond to the comments & suggestion Dept.

First I want to thank all the Volunteers for their hard work to make
DLV happen.

Over the last couple years, I've encountered some situations that I
hope can be inproved on. This year at the show at the Tropicana,
myself, and a friend had reserved a premium seat, very early in the
process, and was delighted when I was handed our tickets for a small
booth, "front row center." Absolutly perfect spot.

upon arriving, I was horrified to find out that FIVE big people were to
be STUFFED into this tiny booth which only three could sit comfortly to
"watch the show." Four people would have been tight. FIVE was completly
absurd.

This booth was a Horse Shoe shape, where only one person could look
straight at the Stage area that sat in the curved area of the booth.
The rest of us had to pivit in our spot to make an attempt to see,
without destroying ones Neck.

When one pivits in a "booth," one takes up more room doing so.

My friend couldnt even fit in the booth, and had to sit on the edge of the
seat with her leggs in the walkway, and nowhere to lean back on.

I was told that this was the only way we could reserve the seats, yet I
noticed other couples, (non DLV) and friends sitting in booths BIGGER
than mine with only "three" in the booth..... one person sitting in the
curve and onother on either side comfortibly sitting with their leggs
(resting on the extra seat areas.)

I don't know what happened here, or why, but this simply..... "did not
work."

There is ticket agencys all over Vegas that can "arrange things" for
us. If we can't get a large seating area together without being stuffed
into a booth like Sardines, then maybe we can get groupes of us in
"comportable" clusters thru out the area to watch the show, and stay
somewhat together.

Other than Dinners, we dont have to dominate "only one area." Smaller
groupes of us thru out the Theater would work if that is the only way we
can get a comfortable seat.

The Show was GREAT ;-)

Another problem last year was the Limo ride. The "Car"....(Limo) my
group was in would only sit 4 people, yet SIX people was "stuffed" into
the Car. We were all over each other. Terrible experience. I didnt do
the Limo this year for this reason.

If there is a place on this Earth where one can find a Limo.... It's Las
Vegas.

Figuring the cost of a Caravan of small Limo's, which breaks up the group,
and not near as fun...(or Cool,) It would be better to accquire a BIG something
so ALL could go together in one group COMFORTABLY.

Cost wise, we could get a big Shuttle type Limo, or those real long
things, or a Coach type Bus for no more, or probably even less were
paying for a Caravan of the small Limo's. Even if we need to make
reservations earlier to get the ride we need, it would seem like the
best thing to do for the group.

As a Volunteer here at home, I hope to stay sensitave, and respectfull
to our hard working Volunteers for DLV. I know there trying their best,
and want the best for the group to.

Overall DLV was a GREAT experiance, and hope to see you all again.

Respectfully,
Jonie Hensley

I just wanted to see if this worked to reply to the disc list.

The limo's fit 6 easy, even when they are as big as me!

We had five at our table at Folies and we all fit, and we weren't tiny
girls.

Oh well,

To each their own.

Love ya,

Gina

Unfortunately, there are no more six-place cars. The limos are made
by cutting Lincoln Town Cars, the largest RWD passenger car available
right now, but still only a 4-seater. Thank the US government for
that....they regulate every single part that goes in a car, from the
wheels to the plastic trim.

I sat in the middle seat of the limo. Had to pull the seats out of
my a$$ at the first stop, and definitely didn't know everyone well
enough to be sitting that close.

The Hummer limos look pretty nice.

Hi there!

First, I had a WONDERFUL time! Give Nora an extra hug for me!

Second, I think the time of year was a great idea! The weather was not
opressively hot, and it was easy for me to concentrate on my personna
and not have to worry about sweating to death! Great choice!

Third, my development as a lady took a huge leap! I gained a lot of
confidence, and I hope I sustained the standards of the DLV ladies.

Bless you all!

Thanks again a million times!

Love,

Michelle

Quit bitchin! Oh and you owe me some money for messing up the dinner! (well,
you said that you would send payment unconditionally!)

I bet it would've been better if I had attended and was the one bitchin!
Just wish I could at this point. Go gurl!

Overall it was a wonderful time, but our success has it's drawbacks. I
agree with those who felt the larger group interfered with our chances
to visit with the girls at the Chicken Ranch. I was halfway through
the evening before I got where I could find them and then the bell rang
and they had to run off. It was a shame to miss having more
conversation with these wonderful young ladies. That being said, I
still enjoyed the trip out, the stay there and the return to town,
because I was able to visit with new girls, and old friends, each step
of the way.

We had over 20 people sign up for the Art Tour, but either the late
night the previous evening or the rain or something else kept most of
them away.

Annie, maybe this is the topic for a question on the follow up survey.
What kept you from attending activities you signed up for? Those of us
that went to the Las Vegas Art Museum saw a wonderful exhibit and
discovered that we were remembered from last year (favorably remembered
if you must know). And the next time you feel you have too many layers
on as you attempt to create that perfect feminine image, just remember
that Liberace weighed about 185lbs and had some costumes that weighed
over 200lbs. Yes, that museum was a treat as well.

Lunch at the Sahara was a good opportunity to meet new girls and
although we overfilled Milano's, they maintained a pretty good attitude
and kept working to meet our needs (except for elbow room). My only
complaint was that I spent most of my budget on new glasses and
couldn't attend the Showgirls of Magic or the Follies. Maybe next time
around.

Thanks to Annie for working her computer magic for all of this to come
together. She continues to be my hero. Regardless of how the events
turn out, the organizers contribute so much thought and energy in
trying to create opportunities for others to enjoy their time at DLV.
Thanks to all of you. And to those who come back year after year and
those who made it for the first time, thank you as well. It's a
lovely, somewhat messy, chaotic, fashionable, bizzare and wonderful
time.

Sarah
