Five weeks to go:

That's right, only five more weeks until Diva Las Vegas 2024, and
everyone is getting excited about it!

Our volunteers have been very active in filling in and rounding out our
schedule of activities.

Most everything is proceeding smoothly, and we are almost ready for our
our 27th annual event!

Welcome to those who have recently registered or joined our mailing
list. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. (Just
reply to this mailing.)

As we approach show time, we want to be sure that anything that needs to
be taken care of is taken care of sooner rather than later.

We have five weeks of "breathing room" now, and it's best to iron
everything out prior to crunch time.

If anything is uncertain or unclear to you, please write in (just reply
to this mailing) and say so. We'll do our best to give you a quick and
courteous answer.

If you sent us anything that requires a response and have not received an
adequate response, please resend or remind. Email is not a perfect
medium and humans make mistakes.

If you tried to register and something did not work right, please let us
know, and the sooner the better. If you received ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
from us via email after you registered, something is wrong and we need
to take a look at things. For new attendees, if you did not receive a
response when validating your registration, please let us know.

We take "black hole" registrations and emails very seriously, and it's
usually very easy to check on things and make them right.

Please let us know about anything that needs attention while we still
have time to deal with it.

Activity Sign-Up starts next weekend:

Most of the activities on our schedule are "No sign-up, just show up" in
nature, meaning that all you need to do to participate is to be a
registered DLV 2024 attendee and show up at the right place at the right
time.

Some of our activities, however, require more formality, such as a
headcount, a sign-up, a reservation, a ticket purchase, or maybe a
prepayment. We take care of all of these at Activity Sign-Up time.

On or about Sunday, September 1, everyone who holds a validated
registration for DLV 2024 will receive a personalized invitation to sign
up for activities.

IF YOU HOLD A REGISTRATION FOR DLV 2024 AND DO NOT RECEIVE THIS BY
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2 AT THE VERY LATEST, SOMETHING IS WRONG AND WE NEED
TO LOOK INTO IT! If this should happen, just let us know, simply reply
to any of these mailings, and we will get things sorted out for you.

Signing up for activities takes only a few minutes and is done on line.

If you change your mind on anything, you may go back and change your
activity sign-ups, dependent on any per-activity deadlines that may be
in place.

You will be able to review your activity selections on the web via our
Attendee Information Portal and information on setting up text reminders
of your activities will be included in the Final Attendee Information.

Working schedules:

Beginning with this mailing, we will be including summary daily working
schedules.

These are summary only, SUBJECT TO CHANGE, and intended to give everyone
a good idea of what will be happening, day to day and hour to hour, at
our event.

Only the basic information is included on these summary schedules.

Several versions of our final detailed schedule will be sent to you in
our Final Attendee Information, which will be available during the week
prior to DLV 2024.

There will be a version which is optimized for mobile devices. There
will be versions that are suitable for desktop devices and for printing.

Information contained in the final detailed schedules will include such
things as activity date, time, and location, a link to the Google maps
showing activity location, dress suggestions for each activity, any
costs involved, where, specifically, to meet the group when you arrive
at the activity, the volunteer Coordinator's cell phone number (in most
cases), and a headshot of the Coordinator (in most cases) so you will be
able to tell who to look for if needed.

Final Attendee Information:

On or about Wednesday, September 25, we will be releasing the Final
Attendee Information for Diva Las Vegas 2024.

This will include such items as:

* The Bare Minimum - Quick-Start Guide to Diva Las Vegas

* Late Notices - Changes - Updates

* Contact Information

* Maps And Schedules - Detailed desktop and mobile versions.

* What to do in case something is wrong.

* Directions to various functions and locations.

* Setting up cell phone and e-mail activity reminders.

* What to do if you are feeling uneasy or uncertain.

* Making contact, checking in, etc.

* Detailed instructions for local transportation.

* Photography information and Guidelines.

* Thanks to volunteers.

Name tags:

A Diva Las Vegas name tag lets everyone know that you are part of the
group, and tells everyone (or reminds everyone) of your name.

Name tags for those who need them will be available at at several of the
DLV activities, beginning on Sunday, September 29.

One thing that will be really helpful to you and the volunteers is if
you can print your name tags before you come, on your home or office
printer. This will help everyone save time and materials and will give
you a head start on things.

For Diva Las Vegas you will have these options for your name tag(s):

1. Print your name tag(s) in advance and bring them with you. Tag
holders will be available at no charge if you need them.

2. Get your name tag(s) at any activity marked "Name Tags Available" in
the notes on the final schedule.

3. Bring a previous year's DLV name tag with you. (Once a valid DLV
name tag, always a valid DLV name tag.) Again, tag holders will be
available if you need them.

Printing your name tag is easy. Simply go to your Attendee Information
Portal (the link that you were sent shortly after you registered and
will be sent to you in your Activity Sign-Up invitation) and select the
green "Generate Name Tag" button.

You can then use your browser's PRINT function to print your name tag(s)
on your home or office printer.

Name tag images for those for those who registered on or before Friday,
August 31, will be ready at Activity Sign-Up time.

Things to come:

Our next big milestone is Activity Sign-Up, which will be happening next
weekend, and information on it appears above.

During most of the month of September, you will be free to plan your
daily goings-on and adjust your activity sign-ups as needed.

Show time begins Sunday, September 29.

You may check in at any scheduled activity marked "Check-In Available"
on the final schedules. If the first activities that you want to
participate in do not have check-in available, you will still be able to
participate as long as you appear on our roster of validated attendees.

You may pick up your name tag at any activity marked "Name Tags
Available" on the final schedule. See notes about name tags above.
