Dates for Diva Las Vegas 2019 ...

Our DLVORG Group has just voted, with a very significant margin, to hold
Diva Las Vegas 2019 from Sunday, March 31 through Friday, April 5, 2019.

These dates have been marked as tentative on the web site.

A one-month Call For Comments is now in effect, after which the dates
will be considered final.

If you would like to comment on the dates, you may simply reply to this
message or send your comments to: dlv@divalas.vegas

All comments will be posted in the Forum unless directed otherwise.

We hope to see all of you in Las Vegas next March/April!

I would really like to come this year, however a full Mon- Fri is very difficult to get away (long weekends are much better for work schedule). If I were to be able to make a few days, would beginning of the week or end of the week be better?

I would suggest the beginning. Mainly 'cuz it's much easier to extend if you like it than it is to try to time-warp back several days. Besides, the opening gathering is usually the largest, people-wise.

I’ll do beginning of week. I’m soooo excited! And nervous! Will head to Vegas likely on Saturday. Sort of new to this (I’ve only dressed in public once), so will need to do some shopping prior to first day. If anyone plans on arriving early, like fri or sat, please let me know. I’d love to visit a little to build confidence. Emily!

Here are a few suggestions.

First, if you are feeling uneasy or uncertain, you might want to request a Big Sister. You can do this by either signing up for one via the Attendee Information Portal (the link you received when you registered) or emailing bigsister@divalas.vegas and requesting a Big Sister. We'll be sending out details of the Big Sister Program in our next general mailing, which will go out either this coming weekend or the next weekend.

If you would feel more comfortable meeting informally with one of the volunteers one-on-one before you do any group activities, just let us know. We'll make it happen. We've done it many times over the years.

As the date approaches, stay tuned to this forum, as there's often times chit-chat on who will be in town early and such.

In most years we've had an informal Pre-DLV gathering the night before DLV starts. We don't know yet if this will happen for 2019 but if it does, it will be announced here. It did not happen for 2018. No particular reason, just didn't happen. It has happened in most recent years, however.
