Hi ladies,
DLV 2004 was my fourth, and I certainly feel that this was the best one
I have attended so far. The activities went off smoothly with only a
few minor glitches. Annie mentioned there were 115 that registered, and
with NO incidents WRT restroom, behavior, and dress. I wish to thank
everyone who attended for their efforts to follow the guidelines, which
only made it that much more enjoyable for everyone.
This was my first year with a "roomie". Thanks to Yvonne for the
friendship and help she gave me. We stayed in a two bedroom suite,
which is probably why she didn't end up trying to strangle me during the
week. :) It was really nice not having to do yoga moves trying to zip
up a back zipper.
As events go, Tootsie and Jamie did a wonderful Limo Tour. That was the
first time I was able to see the fountains at Bellagio...absolutely
marvelous. Debbie and Leah both did a wonderful job coordinating their
respective dinners. As always, Mindy did a great job with golf, and
special thanks to Mindy and Diane for opening up their house to us for
the Garden Party and Pity Party. I didn't attend the Thrift Shopping,
Boat Cruise, Art Tour, or the Star Trek outings due to something called
sleep, but I hear they were very fun.
If I've forgotten anyone, my apologies and a large thank you. Yvonne
and I had a blond(e) moment, actually two of them, during the trip to
and from Rhyolite. We ended up in Death Valley and also started a
scenic trip to Tonapah. The coordination of the show "V", or
Ovation...no it was "V", was somewhat an exercise in frustration. They
sent the pre-pay tickets, but still ended up giving us different seats
upon arrival. I think that was change number 32.
Also, the ladies at the Chicken Ranch for NSD surprised me with the
shrimp and champagne they had ready. The trip was supposed to be just a
simple gathering to allow us to meet the madam and working ladies for
photos.
Overall, the week can be summed up in one word ..FUN!
In reference to Michelle J's comments about updating the bars we
frequent, I'm in favor of that, but we would have to find a place or
places that can hold 50+ t*girls, and offer a safe environment without
the redneck catcalls. That may be hard to find.
This was a wonderful week of fun and growing friendships. Once again,
thanks to everyone who attended and especially those who coordinated the
activities.
Huggs,
Aiko
