Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on line.

Here are some quickie links that I have on file that, depending on your
fluency in legalese, may or may not answer questions regarding what is
legal and not legal to do in Las Vegas, Clark County, or the State of
Nevada.

Nevada revised statutes (state law):

http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/
. . . . .

Clark County Code:

http://municipalcodes.lexisnexis.com/codes/clarknv/
. . . . .

Las Vegas Municipal Code:

http://ordlink.com/codes/lasvegas/index.htm
. . . . .

North Las Vegas (roughly north of Owens Avenue, a separate jurisdiction)
has their own municipal code. If you need this, finding it will be an
exercise for the studii.

Most of what is known as the Las Vegas Strip is outside the city limits
in unincorporated Clark County.

Cashman Field, site of the gun show, is in Las Vegas proper.

Hi, found more info if one is interested.....

One has to go through alot of hoops to get a permit.

Following Gina's and Denise's lead, seems those that are not from the
'connected' states have three choices:

1. Obtain a permit to purchase, time permitting and if qualified.

2. Hopefully the seller at the gun show is willing to treat it like a
out of state sale purchase, allows one to buy the item even though they
are out of state and no permit, and follows through with the shipping
and paperwork.

The dlv attendee doesn't posess the gun till the dlv attendee gets back
home and works with their local business or ffl holder to bring the gun
in from the seller.

3. IF the gun show seller refuses to sell to a no permit, out of state
person or refuses to treat it like a out of state sale, or not willing
to deal with shipping and paperwork...

We try to find a recommended LV store/dealer that will buy the firearm
from the gun show seller, the dlv attendee buys it from the dealer, and
the dealer treats it like a out of state sale, and follows through with
shipping and paperwork, probably for a fee.

Anyone local in LV knows any businesses we can go to?

prefereably t*friendly, that (probably for a fee) willing to treat it
like a out of state sale and the shipping and paperwork involved?

Ideas anyone? too much?

I got a laugh out of this one:

It is unlawful, within the unincorporated area of Clark County, for any
person, other than a law enforcement officer, to use an electronic stun
device (device which is designed to deliver an electric shock to the
body or person of another) for any purpose other than self defense.

...so what is it OK for the cops to do with them? Torture confessions
out of people? Take the batteries out and put them in their
flashlights? Use them to herd cattle into the chutes?

Be careful. Many of these sellers are travelling nomads. If they take
your money and don't send you the firearm, you will probably have no
recourse.
