Yes, definitely happening. There just hasn't been much chit-chat within the past few days. There have been a few messages and I will check to be sure they are going to you.

To anyone traveling to Chicago make sure you are aware of O'Hare and

Yeah, I'm a bit concerned, but I'm sure (I hope anyway) that by then they will have things running more smoothly.

I just checked the flight status at my closest major airport (OMA) and it looks like three flights bound for Chicago, one each for Untied, American, and Southwest have already departed on time. Looking down on the board it appears that one Untied and three American flights to Chicago are cancelled, with all others showing normal and on time.

The other airport that serves our area (LNK) only has one carrier that serves Chicago, Untied. Their board shows one flight that took off on schedule, and another one in a couple of hours as cancelled.

Update: I just spoke to our in-house TA (she just walked in). They are re-booking me on an earlier flight, the first one out that morning to Midway. She was saying that the first flight out was the safest as far as risk of being cancelled or delayed, since the flight originates here and the aircraft will already be here and waiting, plus, there are more options should that flight have to be cancelled for any reason.

Oh well, I hope it gets totally sorted out before the 8th.

As an update, out of OMA there's only one Chicago flight today (American) that is showing cancelled.

I just flew out of O'Hare this morning.

Checking the board for OMA this morning I find that the only flight showing cancelled is one totally unrelated Delta flight to LaGuardia. All flights to and from both Chicago airports are showing on time.

It looks hopefully optimistic for anyone flying in for Pinkfest.

I just flew into O'Hare from Portland on American without delays this
morning. Operations seem normal.
