Ladies,
Put on your nicest outfits and join us for High Tea at the Four Seasons
Hotel on Friday at 2 PM. It's a great excuse for dressing up in the
daytime and have genteel conversation with our DLV brethren. The parking
lots are a bit of a hike, so Valet Parking is encouraged. Besides when
you're all dressed up for tea isn't it nice to pull in to the front of
the hotel and have someone valet your car. Once entering the Hotel the
first hallway on the left will be our meeting place by the spiral
staircase. Once seated at the restaurant we'll choose the tea we'd like
to drink (see the list below). In addition three-tiered platters will
arrive for every 3 persons to share Tea Sandwiches, Scones and Pastries
and Desserts.
Afterwards we take pictures on the spiral staircase. The maximum for the
event is 20, and we usually come close to that.
Unfortunately it is a little pricey and the cost has gone up from last
year. It will now cost $44 for the event, this includes the Tax and Tip.
If you want to order champagne that would cost an extra $15. The Four
Seasons has requested an accurate count 72 hours before the event, and
starting this year they are charging a deposit for the room. The count
will only include those people that have paid or have contacted me by
phone (my phone number will be listed in the activity sign-up) before
Tuesday morning. So if you signed up and didn't pay or called me by
Tuesday, I'll have to drop you from the list. I will be at the Welcome
Celebration and since it is at the Bahama Breeze, hope to make an
announcement for those who don't know who I am.
Cheers,
Marilyn
