I'm all for trying new and different places. In fact, it's been mentioned many times that we ought to be using the Pre-DLV gathering to "test drive" new venues.

Any place in the Arts District should be comfortable for those who are new to public exposure and mainstream enough for those who would not be caught dead inside an "alternative" bar.

LOL! It's the Arts District. They figure that anybody who is interested already knows where it is! :) :) :)

Seriously, anything "Arts District" in Las Vegas will be a stone's throw from the Main-Charleston intersection. Very centrally located.

The place you had up the street from Cruise'n a few years back was nice and fun.

I would like to suggest that whatever venue is chosen, it should be in a reasonably safe part of town. By "safe" I mean that there should be enough people around that you're not likely to be mugged walking from your car and that your car is not likely to be vandalized or stolen. This would rule out almost any place north of Sahara, except for downtown Fremont Street and extreme east and west of Las Vegas Blvd. Maybe I'm just too paranoid, but there are a lot of creeps and criminals just waiting for an opportunity.

Are you talking about the Mexican place in Commercial Center (Las Palmas) or the bar right on Sahara (PT's)? Both could be said to be "right up the street from Crewsn."

Ok, care to suggest a place (or a few places) that meet this criteria?

I believe every place mentioned so far fits the criteria except for the one at Main and Charleston. After dark in fact, I avoid anywhere on Main Street more than a block or two north or south of the Plaza Hotel.

That was it, PT.

The other place was just fine until the Sharks and Jets started squaring off.
