For many years we've had unofficial "Pre-DLV" gatherings the evening prior to the start of the big event. These were always informal get-togethers at a place that the gang decided upon.

Up to 2010 we always gathered a good crowd at these, 20-30-ish. However, for some reason from 2011 on, the headcount was much lower. I don't know why.

To make this happen, somebody has to name a place that's agreeable to the others. Since we have two weeks, we can discuss and agree on it.

Any suggestions, anyone?

My only concern is that we do spread the word adequately and that nobody who wants to attend gets left out.

For the past 3 weeks, the Spotlight Lounge has had karaoke on Saturday nights 9-1. I was planning on skipping it on the 29th and going to the pre-DLV gathering instead, but if that is out and nothing replaces it, then I will be at the Spotlight. The KJ is not Shiela, but Wil is pretty good. The sound system is better and louder at the Phoenix, however, so I prefer that. We take whatever is available.

Annie,

The new FF could work, but they seem to get very busy by 8 on Saturdays
and the parking lot gets full. They have valet also. Some of us could
sit out on the patio and wave at drive bye's. Satay is a thought, but
that would be doubling up on it. My choices have been low attendance the
last 3 years. Marisa

Annie,

I would suggest Alize' or Nove Italiano if the group doesn't become
large. On a Saturday, it may be difficult to schedule more than eight or
so (although we could move to an off-hour to gain space).

Hi ladies

There's a gay bar near lvl called Badlands. I had my first public outing there (I recently moved here to Vegas) and it was comfy. They have a drag show on Friday nights I think starts at 11. It's a well lit bar, great bartenders as well

Badlands

For comparison purposes, here's a run-down of the Pre-DLV venues from previous years which garnered a significant number of people:

Hard Rock (Cafe - Harmon)
Freezone
Greek Isles
Alexis Park
PT's Pub Sahara
Las Palmas Mariachi

It's not my decision, it's yours.

What I want to see is a venue and a time which will give a good turnout.

so saying all that my pick............................is ...not .......Freezone or Badlands
