ok... I'll test the waters even more here...
If anyone can find a cheaper/better manufacturer please let me know...
Before I jump into this, I would like to reduce the potential cost/loss
to me if I can find enough people who are willing to foot a portion of
the costs, and get a portion of the pins..in other words 'invest'.
I need to know who is willing to help me put up some cash to pay for the
pins. I ONLY want people who are serious and will (not refuse to pay
later) 'invest' in this idea and can put up cash when asked for it. Some
trust is involved here, esp with the cash.
If we go with this company, and go for a 1 inch pin at $2.79ea, and to
round things out say $3.00 ea. 1 inch is a nice size, not too small, not
too big, and probably readable size. The true cost may be slightly
higher or lower.
So the total cost of 100 pins is $300.00
These investors can sell their pins at the same price (hopefully) to dlv
attendees. The more people who invest, the more dlv attendees can find
one of these people during dlv to buy the pin from.
NO guarantees on being able to sell the pins to anyone. But I'm sure if
the pin is attractive, there will be buyers.
Some guidelines:
IF 1 person, buying 100pins x 3 = $300.00
IF 5 people, buying 20pins x 3 = $60.00
IF 10 people, buying 10pins x 3 = $30.00
IF 20 people, buying 5 pins x 3 = $15.00
If I get 100 people buying 1 pin, its fine. If I get one person to buy
them all its fine. Or anything inbetween. The idea is to see if we can
come up with purchasing the minimum of 100 pins.
hmmm, I'll try to keep the list updated periodically based on those who
come forward, and list the summary in this disc group. If I leave
anyone out, please let me know via this forum.
I will stop this when the 100 pin minimum is reached, or continued
upward if the demand in this disc group wants to continue.
For those that will invest, please indicate if you want to go with this
company. If its agreed, then I will contact them and get actual cost
details, which MAY affect the individual pin cost. If it increases, the
investors can then re-evaluate their commitment.
Remember, the bottom line is those who 'invest' is required to pay. Its
also to see if we have enough to get 100 pins.
Any investors?
I'll begin, I will buy 10. at $30.00.
If we get 9 more people to buy 10 pins, the 100 quota will be reached.
