Gun show anyone w/FFL

If anyone knows of a local Las Vegas preferably t*friendly firearms
business OR local t*friendly individual who has a Federal Firearms
License?

If they charge for the service, it would be up the dlv attendee to agree
to the service charges to use the their services.

The small DLV group going to the gun show may (small possiblity of)
have use/need for someone or some business locally with a FFL, if they
want to purchase certain items that would require the use of a FFL at
the gun show. (ie buying a gun/ammunition to take home).

Its a good thing to have this available, so if our dlv attendees finds
something at the show, they can buy it, and not be agonized by not being
able to buy it w/o a FFL.

I was one of those agonizing at the last gun show during dlv.

The FFL holder would then mail it with the paperwork to a home state FFL
owner or business of that dlv attendee.

Hi Yvonne,

Just get the FFL of your favorite gun store in Hawaii. Then if you want to
buy something, we'll find a dealer there that can send it to your dealer in
Hawaii (or whereever).

Love ya,

Gina

Gun show anyone w/FFL

Hey Gina!!

Actually I already have one here locally. Charges me a flat rate of per gun.

The following explaination is a bit long, but if anyone has other ideas
before or after reading this, I'm very interested and open to hearing
them!!!

Thats the whole idea, to find someone or dealer (who has to have a ffl
to sell guns) in lv to help us. Esp one who doesn't mind the t*gender
issue, and can be trusted. More so if the person buying is in femme
mode.

The last gun show 2yrs ago, when I said I was out-of-state to several
sellers, I was given the cold shoulder. They would be pleasent about it
and mumble something like:

1. only sell to resident of nevada who is legal to buy instate

2. if out of state and want to buy requires I have a ffl

3. have someone locally buy it for you that is a qualified nevada
resident (or business) and takes transfer of ownership and the
gun with them. If its a resident they again, take it home w
transfer of ownership, and then ownership has to be transfered to
someone in LV or nevada with a ffl, who can then send it to a
hawaii ffl holder ...
something about sending copies of ffl to each other, some
sort of federal requirements....

4. you gotta buy and take it now and not able to hold it for you
because the seller leaves the right state after the show,
but you can't buy anyway since you are not a local resident
or holds a ffl (see 1 and 2) .... a catch 22.

If what they are saying is B*S* then someone please tell me!

Going on, this local nevada ffl person seems to be the common
underlining requirement!

My idea was to see if there is someone or store that is t*friendly
'there' or in LV, reliable, trustworthy, and willing to either buy the
item with our money at the gun show, and deal with the transfer out of
state.

It seems to answer all the 4 problems.

Very few sellers offered if I were to buy a gun, to hold it and send it
after the gun show, from whever they were at since they travel with the
show.

Of these few sellers, most had regular business in LV, but at that time
(2 yrs ago) I didn't have anyone lined up back at home, for I found
about the gun show after getting into LV. It wasn't a re-scheduled
activity.

Also about the sellers being out of state ... what guarantee would I
have of them from selling the gun to someone else after I give them the
money for it? Whats to stop them from running away with the money for
the gun and leaving nevada, and never sending the purchased gun to me
back home, and never seein them again? How do you trust the vendors?
I'm taking about hundreds of dollars of loss. Again, having a trusted
person who can buy and hold it solves the problem.

The only way I can buy a gun w/o ffl problems is that the gun has to be
over 100 yrs old, and have papers to prove it.I only found one store in
Caesars' Forum Shops that did that... but those were antiques and very
expensive as over $2000.

Please don't get me wrong. If someone can find another way to do this,
I'm open to it.!!!!

Yvonne,

Actually I've never had any trouble with an FFL holder taking my money
and running, as a group they seem to be pretty respectable. I;ve also
never had a problem with a dealer taking my money, me supplying them an
FFL and then sending it to them after the show, there are some issues
with out-of-state dealers at the show, but we'll figure them out. You
find a piece you want, we'll get it home to you!

Love ya,

Gina

Hi Denise and Gina!

Thank you!

I might have been jumping to far forward, let me step back a bit...

Question... Does Nevada, specifically Clark county or whatever county LV
is in, does it allow purchasing of a firearm from someone out of state?

If the answer is YES, then I can buy what I want and bring it home with
me in luggage (good chance getting it stolen in luggage) or ship it via
private carrier, and register it at home, within 3 days.

I would have to check with private mailers like UPS, FedEx if they allow
firearms shipping. I don't know if USPS allows it. I kinda remember
posters at the PO saying its illegal.

Can anyone answer this? I can't seem to find anything online.

If the answer is NO (which was being uniformly told to me at the gun
show), then what do I do to be able to purchase. Does it require
residence and/or a permit?

If it requires a permit to purchase, is it immediate, or is there a wait
for a background check of so so days. If so, how many? and again is it
allowed for out-of-state?

I know that my permit from Hawaii is worthless in Nevada, it doesn't
cover over state lines.

So... if the above is negative ... how does one buy something if from
out of state?

Another scenario is...

IF the seller is legit, and if I can buy it, and the seller (who prob
has a ffl) will mail it to the ffl person in hawaii. Then again no
problem.

The question is: IS that seller legit going to do that? I would say yes
(as Gina agrees with) but I need to trust, and take a chance of losing
everything.

I can only say for hawaii ffl holders, all of them follow the same
thing, which requires sending a copy of their ffl to the seller, and the
seller sending a ffl copy to them, when transfering firearms, and
registering ownership. I was told its part of some requirement on the
federal level. It may be only a Hawaii thing....

IF the seller is sticking to Nevada laws and cannot allow any purchases
by someone out of state, or doesn't want to deal with holding and
shipping (which I also came across at the gun show...) How does one buy
a firearm from the show?

I was thinking of a gun dealer/store owner from LV that is willing to
help? Ideas?

According to federal law, you may purchase long guns from a FFL in
another state and take them with you. Handguns must be transferred
between FFLs. No guns are allowed to be purchased between individuals
from out of state.

Nevada laws may be different, as may be an individual's adherence to the
above, but I would suggest dotting the I's and crossing the T's if
you're taking a gun back on a plane. And don't forget that you have
to declare them, and they have to be in checked baggage.
