Hey Gina!!
Actually I already have one here locally. Charges me a flat rate of per gun.
The following explaination is a bit long, but if anyone has other ideas
before or after reading this, I'm very interested and open to hearing
them!!!
Thats the whole idea, to find someone or dealer (who has to have a ffl
to sell guns) in lv to help us. Esp one who doesn't mind the t*gender
issue, and can be trusted. More so if the person buying is in femme
mode.
The last gun show 2yrs ago, when I said I was out-of-state to several
sellers, I was given the cold shoulder. They would be pleasent about it
and mumble something like:
1. only sell to resident of nevada who is legal to buy instate
2. if out of state and want to buy requires I have a ffl
3. have someone locally buy it for you that is a qualified nevada
resident (or business) and takes transfer of ownership and the
gun with them. If its a resident they again, take it home w
transfer of ownership, and then ownership has to be transfered to
someone in LV or nevada with a ffl, who can then send it to a
hawaii ffl holder ...
something about sending copies of ffl to each other, some
sort of federal requirements....
4. you gotta buy and take it now and not able to hold it for you
because the seller leaves the right state after the show,
but you can't buy anyway since you are not a local resident
or holds a ffl (see 1 and 2) .... a catch 22.
If what they are saying is B*S* then someone please tell me!
Going on, this local nevada ffl person seems to be the common
underlining requirement!
My idea was to see if there is someone or store that is t*friendly
'there' or in LV, reliable, trustworthy, and willing to either buy the
item with our money at the gun show, and deal with the transfer out of
state.
It seems to answer all the 4 problems.
Very few sellers offered if I were to buy a gun, to hold it and send it
after the gun show, from whever they were at since they travel with the
show.
Of these few sellers, most had regular business in LV, but at that time
(2 yrs ago) I didn't have anyone lined up back at home, for I found
about the gun show after getting into LV. It wasn't a re-scheduled
activity.
Also about the sellers being out of state ... what guarantee would I
have of them from selling the gun to someone else after I give them the
money for it? Whats to stop them from running away with the money for
the gun and leaving nevada, and never sending the purchased gun to me
back home, and never seein them again? How do you trust the vendors?
I'm taking about hundreds of dollars of loss. Again, having a trusted
person who can buy and hold it solves the problem.
The only way I can buy a gun w/o ffl problems is that the gun has to be
over 100 yrs old, and have papers to prove it.I only found one store in
Caesars' Forum Shops that did that... but those were antiques and very
expensive as over $2000.
Please don't get me wrong. If someone can find another way to do this,
I'm open to it.!!!!
